You'll hardly enjoy this unless you watch the show first. You gotta watch the first three seasons. I wouldn't play unless you watch it, I think you'd ruin both the show and the game for yourself
Finished Episode 1 last night and it was great despite me already knowing the outcome!
My decisions
+
I chose to leave Bowen and warn the others, thinking I might have had a chance to save Rodrick, which was a silly idea in general. I did lie and said that I didn't leave him behind, but they'll never know anyways.
I only killed one of the Whitehill men and spared the other one. Too bad the wasn't a different outcome for that other than Gared not being a total douche.
I returned the sword and kept my promise to Lord Forrester. Good job, Gared!
I made Ethan cut the guys fingers off. Ain't no one gonna fuck around in these here walls!
I chose Royland as a sentinel, but I might replay the episode and choose Duncan. I thought Royland would be a good choice, but I think he's a hot-headed asshole.
As Mira, I seemed to please the queen, even though the discussion with her could have gone a lot better. I also did not ask Margery for help. I knew what would happen if I did, and I didn't like the outcome of that. I also risked it and asked Tyrion for help, even though I still don't know what the fuck he's gonna do.
Ramsey is a dick, but The young lord will be remembered as 'Ethan the Brave.'
THOUGHTS
+
I had hoped there would be a way to save Ethan, but that would have required a lot of effort and more branching story for the devs. That ending couldn't make me hate Ramsey more than I already do, though.
I can't wait to meet Jon Snow in the next episode, and I'm looking forward to playing as Asher in Essos. Maybe we'll meet Mother of Dragons either in this coming episode or the next.
I wonder if Mira will be blamed for being apart of Joffery's murder, if the Purple Wedding is involved in the next episode.
All in all, I can't wait for the rest of the series to come out. I'll probably spend a lot of time waiting playing the game over and seeing all the outcomes in my choice of words
New characters are great, Asher and his partner especially. Rodrik was a surprise. I figured we would take up the Ironrath story with a character already introduced, such as Lady Forrester. But this does make more sense, and Rodrik seems pretty cool.
Anyways, this is what I did:
- I decided not to forge a letter from Margaery
- I kissed Lord Whitehall's ring (I lol'd when I read this at the end, also lol'd when it said "Lord Whitehall will definitely remember that")
- I persuaded Eleana to marry me
- I kept the nights watch guy's secret about the knife. (NETWORKING)
- I attacked the Lannister assassin rather than run away. (Networking again. That kid is gonna be useful down the line, I am sure of it!)
I liked this better than episode 1. There was still some introductory shit going on, what with the story at the wall, and Asher, but everything else advanced the story nicely.
Pretty good! The new locations are cool. Rodrik still being alive was obvious based on the PREVIOUSLY ON so that was a bummer, but I'm glad he was. Cool character
- Didn't forge the letter
- Kissed the ring
- Lost the marriage to Eleana :(((
- Stood up for Cotter
- Killed the assassin
These choices didn't feel huge at all tbh. I hope they end up having bigger effects down the road. WE SHALL SEE
