It feels like it was the survivor equivalent to turning a blind eye. But Brandon doesn’t have a choice he’s gotta trust them.

Okay start. I feel like for a 2 hour episode I don’t know a ton of the people? Matt stands out for Green, Yam Yam is still fun at this point for Purple, and I am still optimistic on Lauren for orange, but Jeff hyped this up as being a great cast so hopefully they’ll show some of it more next week.

The random paranoia from the 2 who played shot in the dark, despite not even being options to go home.

Kind of thought Lauren was going, but Maddy deserved that. Overplayed messy etc

i was worried i was gonna hate the cast but ended up liking a few people. orange matthew #1, green matt and franny pretty cute, purple as a whole i enjoyed especially the two who did savvy.

maddy leaving was a beautiful arc. live by the idol die by the idol. super glad the teaser moment of orange matthew wasnt as bad as i thgt it was.

7/10 premiere for me, will def keep watching tho thats a given with Survivor. cautiously optimistic for the season.

was glad Brandon survived but what was that. Based on the edit he grew an immediate distrust with Maddy because she...wanted to keep his advantage secret. Even though he admitted later that should've been his play. Wat

I actually really liked that premiere lols That tribal was a mess but a good kinda mess. I was glad Brandon used the idol because that was bizarre (2 people doing SiTD).

Interesting how they showed that clip at the very beginning of the drug counselor (can't remember her name...Caroline?), it was kind of cool to see behind the scenes interaction but made me wonder why they chose to air that as the very first thing they showed. I don't initially see her making it far into the game, but who knows what will happen?

Liked the green tribe from the arrivals on the beach. Orange obviously had the most interesting tribe this episode because of the tribal council. Was glad the TC went the way it did. It was smart to target Maddy for the reason that Brandon wanted to target her. BUT getting rid of her leaves Lauren (?) with an extra vote now anway. So it's still like they'd have an extra person with them. Loved that Kane didn't want to vote for Brandon and him not home, which is exactly what happened lol. Puts him in an akward situation.

Looks like it will be an interesting season. Risk/Reward thing being gone is nice. And it was cool that they would have all had different advantages. BUT they can't have that be a regular thing. Too many potential advantages/lost votes is horrible too.

they gave up their votes, didn't they? So they didn't vote at all. Right? That's how the shot in the dark works? I'm doubting my thoughts right now lol

I assume they would have voted for Brandon though since Jaime said her losing her vote wouldn't matter.

Drug girl is a mess. Still reads addict to me. Drugs fucked her up bad and survivor exploiting that is one thing but they’re going a little overboard on it IMO

I mean, early seasons probably would've made her character a punchline but I feel like they're gonna somehow find a way to give her a heartwarming arc. There's almost no punchline/villain characters in the recent seasons (that I've seen)

Although having that interview blooper as the cold open of the entire season was certainly an odd choice

I finally got to watch this. What an absolute shitshow of a premiere.

Super glad Brandon just played that idol and doesn't have to live under the shadow of it anymore. That whole opening the cage in front of everyone scene was one of the most uncomfortable moments in recent Survivor.

Matt climbing the rock while his body was all cramped up was such a dumb fucking move. That tribe seemed to learn the hard way that energy is capital on the island and you're always better off preserving it wherever you can.

Yam Yam seems like a hoot. I didn't really get impressions of anyone else.
