Vandal stirs from slumber in the corner. His canine giggle dog gaze darted from well-armed adventurer to well-armed adventurer. He wandered over and lazily inspected the remaining weapons for a moment. Eventually he caught sight of what called to him most of all.

"Hehe!"

The erratic giggling dog wasted no time making his way to the bar, completely ignoring the coming brawl. A cloth wrapped, clawed fist came down upon the counter with enough force to probably get someone's attention, if they were nearby.

All the pent up role-playing energy from the new lab we were supposed to get is being unleashed in this thread and I need it

Faerora observed Ahron for a moment before rolling her eyes and non-verbally cueing Canassa's attention to him with a head nod so she could go back to focusing her aim on Ordella, a warlock who she didn't like the look of. She waited quietly with discipline

Canassa looks over and see a walking suit of armor with no man inside
"And I thought I was fucked up"

Canassa prepares herself as she stands up on her hind legs towering over everyone.



"Shit" she mutters as she hits her head on the ceiling.

As Ahron waited for his mates to make a move, his mind wandered to the past ...



It was another mundane afternoon in the life of Anthony. He had finished his daily calls with shareholders and assuaged their fears for what felt like the 187th time this month. His sense of a void within him was stronger than ever. Noon struck and he walked out of his office, as he usually did and went down to the DARPA wing. It was the only place he felt a feeling of enthusiasm return during his whole day. Seeing Piper, the beautiful quick witted scientist do her work filled him with joy. Today was going to be the day that Piper tested out her prototype exoskeleton for her revolutionary AI. If this worked, Anthony and his company the Stonk Industries would enter into the new age of robotics. Anthony looked at Piper and she looked back with a big smile. And that was the last of what he remembered ...

Ahron woke up in the hut of the kind pilgrim Jennilus. As he regained cognizance he realized that he couldn't feel his own flesh. He looked around and tried to pinch himself thinking this was a dream. But instead of his skin he felt a hard metal on both his hand and his face. He turned to Jennilus and asked

"What's the check out time, Josie"

He thanked Jennilus for taking care of him when he was out cold. He realized he was smack dab in the middle of a cliched origin story. But he didn't care about getting his old life back. He had lost his humanity but finally found his moxie. He traveled from village to village in the deserts of Vegasland honing his fighting skills and occasionally helping out those in need. Villages with good taverns were his priority for even though he couldn't drink, watching the puzzled looks of all manners of creatures eyeing him while he wasted their ale gave him amusement. During one such visit, he stumbled upon a particularly odd duo - an old redskinned Wizard and a friendly looking Goblin. They seemed to have some financial problems. He walked up to them and gave them both a curt nod.

He tossed a gold coin to the barkeep and gestured to the 2 to come join him in the corner



Ahron was whisked back into the present by a loud thud as Canassa rode(?) through the center of the bar

Ahron: (looking at Malus) Time to wake up Gandalf the red. Things are heating up!

(not an official pick just setting up the scene for @Stargate and @Penner) Randall knocks over Tuuluuwaq's ale which causes a melee to break out in the Mellow Canary Ahron: (looking at Malus and Greaseface) Heads up bois. This party is about to get started. I don't like the looks of Marybeth over there (gesturing towards Faerora) and he's certainly no Roger (glancing at Murder bunny). Might be best if we stick together and watch each other's six.

Tuuluuwaq sighed, seeing his drink spilled all over the floor. He had only brought a few vials of additive with him to colorize his water to look like ale, so he could fit in with the others. If given a choice, he'd never set foot into another pub. Entirely too much lawlessness in pubs for the old bear.

"You will come to regret that decision" he said loudly towards Randall, feigning just enough anger to make it sound real, as he reached for the handle of his sickle. He knew the limits of his strength, and while they were more than sufficient to deal with Randall, its best to be prepared for anything.

Where are my compatriots, Tuuluuwaq asked himself looking around the crowded pub.

(I almost wish this was on a different forum, so we could all use our characters as avatars and set our names to our character names, so it was easier to follow, and wouldn't be weird across the rest of the board)
