I forget what Rowling has done recently but I know I didn't approve of it --

But that doesn't change a really great iconic series of movies, for me, personally. Like I don't hate the movie "Se7en" because Kevin Spacey was in it. For me, the Harry Potter movies instantly make me feel good and feel like a kid again.

If you forget then I really don't care your opinion on it.

Harry Potter:

Characters: absolutely elite. One of the best universe of characters in media and they just keep coming as the series goes on.

Storyline: bad

Everything after the 4th one is a blur to me tbh but the characters are too good to never have experienced

i feel the shifting directors really hurts the overall narrative of the movies also not really knowing where the story ends makes some decisions in earlier films a bit pointless. i think the series would make for a nice netflix series in that regard it did wonders for ASOUE.

That said nah dont give Jo any more money prop up some other solid YA there is plenty out there.
