I mean there's a reason the press ask Spicer for the visitor in almost every briefing and he says "we'll look into it." They like to cross reference those lists with what the executive is actually sharing in order to point out lack of transparency/indiscrepencies. The Trump White House knows this so it's probably motivating them.
I'm not arguing that the current admin may have personal motives to do so. I'm just not glorifying a facade of a policy that was pure lip service at best and an underhanded way to manipulate the press at worst.
John Cuckboi Oliver fucking sucks. His last piece was garbage. He literally said nothing new about Le Penn that people didn't know, she's just another far right donkey. How about talking about how Putin has his hands in her and how banks wouldn't lend her $$ so she had to go to Russian banks. Or how about how she engaged in Holocaust Denial by saying France had no role in rounding up Jews. Instead lets talk about how candidates get food products thrown at them LEL. Honestly a true disgrace to journalism.

Honestly a true disgrace to journalism.
so just to be clear, you think that a comedian is a failure at journalism. noted.
you're too stupid to understand what i'm saying
nah, you're just lashing out because i flagged a rather ignorant assumption on your part.
don't get mad, get an argument. and maybe a dictionary.
no you literally don't know what a journalist is
not my fault you're stupid
maybe angle your screen a little so it's not so reflective. you seem to be trolling yourself.
this reminds of the days when bill o'reilly would call jon stewart a journalist and so he'd have to say no man, i'm on comedy central, figure it out. everyone makes jokes about politics, but that doesn't make them a journalist. yes, john oliver gets paid to make those jokes, but that just makes him a professional comedian. further, just because certain people treat 'last week tonight' as journalism doesn't make it so. what is a "true disgrace" is you repeating their error and concluding that non-journalism is bad journalism. helpful hint: that apple isn't a bad orange; it's just an apple.
you're not the only one with that confusion, but it also seems like you have a surprisingly low standard for what constitutes journalism -- which is unfortunate, since you then go on to whine about the low standard you have arbitrarily chosen. you also seem to have low standards for what constitutes an argument, so pattern detected! it's cute how often ignorance and arrogance go hand-in-hand. no wait, not "cute". annoying. which means two paragraphs is far more than you deserve, so i'll end with this:
why did trump cross the road?
*ding* i'm suddenly a journalist
now. if anyone is actually interested in a substantive discussion about the role of satire in today's political climate, i offer this as a springboard:
