Guys, how do you go about NOT showing interest in a girl? I think I just got hit on by the girl working at the café here... she wrote "you mocha me smile" with a happy face on my cup. Clearly she wants in the pants. I made no mention of it, as I only noticed it as I was walking away and I was too far by then to want to turn around and respond to the message (and picture, she drew a picture of spider-man because I'm wearing a spider-man shirt)

The thing is I definitely would respond to any advances if I were 100% single but I don't know what to do when I'm not entirely so (Ok, I've yet to go on a first date with this girl I'm involved with, it's weird and she's away at school now like 90 minutes from here, but while it might make little sense to you guys we both seem very committed to one another at the moment). Do I just pretend like I'm gay or something? Do I just say "I have a girlfriend" even if it's not really true? That seems better than saying "I'm in a rather complex involvement with someone who I want to remain committed to" lol.

I'm just sure I will have to respond at some point, heck I'm going back there for more coffee after this class is over with. What's a guy to do? Do you think she already feels rejected from me just taking my coffee and waltzing off without a word?

Just tell her you're in a relationship right now. A little less specific than girlfriend so its not a stretch. If she still bugs you for details about it you could say its complicated or whatever. Or say its long distance.
