Uhhhhhhhh it was FABRICATED. The police officer is a 24 year old who was a year below me in high school. He shot his own car and then lit in on fire but confessed a bit ago. That's fucked. There was a huge man hunt and everything. He's in deeeeeeeeeep trouble

Should marketing to children be regulated?

According to this documentary it was regulated pre-reagan. During Reagan's presidency it was deregulated.

I don't think there's an easy answer.

I'm not from the United States, but I'll probably have to say no.

I'm not sure what it's like being a parent today, but I almost never got what I wanted from my parents when I asked for things. I don't see it as a problem lol.

Herm, what is advertising like in your country? Is there more regulation? according to the documentary United States is one of the few (only?) country that has no regulation when it comes to advertising to children.

To add, the United States and one other country are the only countries in the world where it is legal to advertise prescription medication on television.

I had to look it up first, because I don't know much about this stuff., and interestingly enough Sweden has a ban to advertize to children under the age of 12, and you are not allowed to directly advertize to children age 16 or under. Lol.

It says that advertizing to children is not limited to news station that airs from Britain tho.

I didn't think this was a problem that required legislation.
