There are lots of colleges really close and she's debating staying home the first two years and then going out of state. The 4 year plan is 2 years here, 1-2 years in Colorado (because she wants to snowboard lol) and then an international internship on the other side of the planet. :crazy: No one prepares you for this part of parenting.

Rose and Igor, thanks for the input, I feel better hearing it's not as overwhelming as some make it out to be.

If she's planning to transfer down the road, make sure you have the ACT scores on your college board account so you can get it sent over to the transfer school when she applies there. I didn't do this and if I don't find a way to get my SAT scores in the next 24 hours, I have to take a math competency test. That stuff doesn't get sent with transcripts between colleges. Just something to keep in mind.

I was asleep and then got a call, so I woke up and in my post-sleep haze, I talked to someone from this pet supplies store I applied to and now I have an interview scheduled for Thursday. I don't even know where my dress clothes are.

Stay on top of the FAFSA stuff! You need to fill that out to be eligible for student loans too, or at least that's how it was when I was starting college....9 years ago.
