Some very brief thoughts.

The Watch - I actually liked it. Wasn't blown away by it, and I groaned at the aliens' weakness, but I found the rest entertaining enough.

Jack the Giant Slayer - Also liked this one, but I'm an easy mark for fantasy movies.

Room 6 - More like Room Shit.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 - The world needs more chainsaw duels if you ask me.

Summer Wars came on TV Saturday... it's one of my favourite non-ghibli animated movies and I highly recommend everyone watch it. It does not disappoint.

The director recently made a new movie The Wolf Children which I recently bought but haven't watched yet... I'll give my thoughts on it after I have but I expect good things.

Pan's Labyrinth. Goood movie. It's some of my friends' favorite movie so it might've been slightly over hyped for me. Still really good though. Wasn't what I expected it to be whatsoever

Vidal was a really great villain. He was so cold. The gut shot at the end and the bottle smash at the start were both brutal. The scene of him stitching up his sliced mouth was cool too

Home Alone 2, because it's about that time.

And now Sinister.

I think I made an error in judgment watching them in this order. This is already freaking me out.

Jesus Christ. Typically I'm less likely to like horror movies where...

Spoiler for Sinister+

But that one came out of nowhere so quickly that I didn't have time to roll my eyes.

That was creepy as fuck, two thumbs up. And loved seeing Vincent D'Onofrio.

Wished there had been more "Mr. Boogie." Fuck film reels.

They look so cheesy when you're not wrapped up in it.

Still, my (hopefully) empty house feels a whole lot more unknown right now.

Every horror movie is way scarier when you're alone in your house at night

The lawnmower jump scene was freaky, and the part with the kids running around right next to Hawke without him noticing was p. cool

Unfortunately the movie was overhyped for me. But I do remember the lawnmower scene being spooktacular.

Don Juan DeMarco.

I remember getting this on DVD from Pizza Hut way back when, alongside Weekend at Bernies and another movie I don't really remember. Just caught it on Cinemax and was pleasantly surprised by it. Especially since I only ever regarded it as "the Pizza Hut movie I didn't want."

Edit: After a quick google apparently it was Papa Johns, not Pizza Hut. And the other movie was that Kramer movie, Trial and Error.

The films were what really did it for me. Especially the second one, with the burning car and that three or four seconds of looping music repeating. And yeah, as you both mentioned the lawnmower scene was fuckin' aces. I pretty much knew what was coming and it still made me jump.
