It's flavorful and one of the most tender meats out there. Almost like oddly colored prime rib.

It's food people ate because they were poor and starving and had to eat everything, like liver and tripe and snails and shit. Someone came along and convinced people it was a "delicacy" instead.
I'll pay my money for a real prime rib and leave the tongue tickling to Ahoda.

Those all sound like diseases I could catch in the hull of an 18th century ship |
Papusas are Salvadorean- think a homemade tortilla except it has pork, refried beans, and cheese cooked *inside* the tortilla. I don't mean the tortillas is wrapped around it, it is an integral part of the tortilla itself.
They are fucking awesome as shit. |
No I'm pretty sure Papusas is something that I could fall ill with and that could take me in the night about 250 years ago |
i would be perfectly fine with a papusa taking me in the night | SFWordsmith.com

Where does Clase Azul fall into this tequila talk? Ive only had it once and it was very good. I also love that they hand paint every bottle as a unique piece of art. | SFWordsmith.com

If they do paint each bottle individually as a piece of art, I would guess it's not in the 'most people can afford this on a regular basis' category.

Avoid Cuervo like the plague.
My personal favorite (in the 'a normal person can afford it' class) is Cabrito Reposado.
Here's my (not detailed) recipe for a margirita-like cocktail:
1. Put some ice in a highball glass
2. Pour a healthy amount of good tequilla (~2 fingers worth, depending on your glass and/or preference)
3. Squeeze in a wedge of lime
4. Add a splash of OJ
5. Top with Squirt soda
Option Step 6: adjust any of the steps to personal preference
7. Stir and enjoy, a lot. |
Trying this tonight. I didn't find the same type you mentioned but did find a 100% agave, Hornitos Reposado.
| A lesson without pain is meaningless. That's because no one can gain without sacrificing something. But by enduring that pain and overcoming it, he shall obtain a powerful, unmatched heart. A fullmetal heart. |
