You'd be surprised. There are actually politicians who aren't complete liars and assholes and are actually pretty genuine people. By and far, most are fucking assholes though. In fact, some are even *worse* than you can imagine.

And remember, this comes form somebody who is quite jaded living inside the beltway and having been more deeply involved in our nation's politics than I can fully divulge. But I have some great stories, like the conservative Republican congressional chief of staff who relaxed by going to BDSM clubs. A *lot* of "family values" conservatives in those BDSM clubs, funny enough.

My local state rep is actually a great guy, but he still votes for his best interests. They just happen to be tied to the district he reps more often than not.

Nunes steps down from Russia investigation. Guy was literal scum. Tried to stonewall the investigation and ran back to Trump to tell him when he found out shit was going down. Hope they can get a true independent investigation.

I think the House investigation is botched despite all of this. Let's just leave it to the Senate or get an independent commission.

Even as boneheaded as this crop of Reps are, they know that if they set precedent with a rules change just to get one justice in, they will have it bite them back over and over when the Dems do the same thing later. It's a matter of how short term thinking they decide to be.

They are dumber than we thought :crazy:

It was bad enough when the dems did it to get their cabinet in. This sets a much more horrible precedent.
