If a killer visits you in your dying state, they will kill you. i took that to mean it can be any visit not just at a generator. which would be diff from factional kill It's not great wording and I hope Josh explains if it means visited at the location you went to or if scum can just have a casual encounter with anyone they want at night and if they are in the dying state they die it has to be the latter i think. thats the whole point of health states. killers must have a factional kill and on top of that they can visit generators or specific survivors

A Curtis or Mal lynch feels like a good idea but I'd like to revisit the vern-Stargate Math and where the disconnect is on that

its still 100% spin+cultis+z/mal if theres more than that its either Penner or TiB and they were somehow able to destroy a chest while claiming to have visited it. but thats less likely than just a team of 4 killers

I think you are spot on with 1 or 2 of those. But there is for certain a mafia wildcard or 2 not even being considered.

i mean im just offering a possible explanation. it doesnt really make sense to me for the killers to waste a factional kill on someone in the dying state and for Herm to magically die in 1 night when he had not shared anything about being injured
