The group had grown weary. There was someone among them that was bad, but they were doing a great job of blending in. Maddie and Sami started the discussion, trying to decide who it could be.
"Is it Ahoda?" asked Sami, resigned to the knowledge she'd probably lost.
"It probably is" Maddie said in a comforting voice. "Should we take him out?"
Before Sami could answer, Ahoda made the decision to take charge.
"Not doing this anymore" he said, as he stood up. We walked straight up to Maddie and punched her square in the face. She stumbled backwards stunned. She couldn't even think of what to say in that situation.
"Yeah, sure, I guess" Sami said, as she joined in on the beating.
Maddie, in a way, knew this day would come. While she wishes her teachings had been more complete, she knew that no matter how much physical pain she was enduring right now, there would be eternal happiness for her beyond this form. She just closed her eyes and thought back fondly on her teacher, the great and wise Primate.
