Web for a giant spider

...kinda!

Whenever we eventually play again my players are gonna be fighting a giant spider, that's right about where we left off. That means I need spider themed terrain

Starting off by making spider minis to sever as minions to the giant spider. I had these leftover shitty spiders from a Halloween decoration and tried to make them look a bit cooler. First pic is the before





The main thing I wanted to do was make the spider eggs on the base piece here. I'm gonna get some stuff to make them look slimy eventually so they should look better when that's done. The web is a used dryer sheet. Gonna make more of these and eventually some different kinds of eggs piles and then a much larger webbing for the giant spider

More to come whenever I make them so hold off on the next round of suggestions til then

part two, finished the four spiders and four bases. Decided to give each one a different paint scheme for fun, plus it'd make it easier to keep track in combat

A lot of detail is lost in these pics, the eggs for example look much better in person, they're a gross sickly green color. And that white looking spider really is not white at all

One is meant to look like it blends in with the cave floor and one I covered in glue and dipped in my grass flocking to make some sorta hairy or mossy sorta thing












I have a bunch of others left in a different style, I think I'm gonna make a SWARM out of them. Swarms are a type of dnd enemy, like a single swarm of rats or spiders or whatever. Gonna do that next and maybe some cocooned bodies

My players are gonna be battling through a Dwarven mine/forge/cave. Throw out a suggestion for something you might find there, no matter how small. Like a patch of mushrooms, a pile of rubble, a SHOVEL, whatever. Doesn't have to be a big set piece at all. Whatever I can see myself using the most Ill go ahead and try to craft out of something

Definitely need to have some of the overhead braces breaking and making the mine shaft tough to maneuver. Possibility of a collapse/blockage for specific events
