ep 6 tho
nice to get back to a 'normal' episode, this was really good. Vera is better than ever. CRUEL IRONY throwing Elliot in THE trunk at the end
I'm really concerned that's gonna be the last we see of Leon this series :( Really hope he and Irving factor into this season still
Janice is starting to approach their level tho, poor Dom. I don't even want to know what's in store for her now | |

Made it through the first 4 episodes so far. Season just isn't as good as the first 3 to me; at least up to this point. Hated seeing Angela bite the bullet at the start, and I'm also a big fan of Mr Robot talking to "us" instead of Elliot. |

I love how Jake Busey played the same exact character as stranger things s3 |
he plays the same character in anything he's in. |

also these Dark Army goons are always so good, Leon, Irving, and now this taxidermist lady. Her scene at the end was p chilling. Looking forward to seeing more of her |
Leon and Irving were the best characters from season 3. It's been sad that they haven't been in S4 at all so far. I hope that changes. |

Ep 7:
|
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
A show with many great side characters but Vera has been my favorite since his amazing first scene with Elliot. There was no way he was long for this world and I was pretty sure he was dying this ep (and boy did he deserve to) but it's such a bummer still. He's the best and the worst. This was probably his best episode since that opening scene. But man, I almost felt bad for him in his final scene because he genuinely seemed to wanna help Elliot. What a complicated character perfectly performed. That actor should get nominated for best guest actor, he was so good
Thought we were about to get the third Elliot personality reveal there so I was on the edge of my seat until I realized which direction it was going in. Pretty brutal. Think about the first scene in the show now with Elliot busting he coffee shop owner for child porn. Takes on a whole new light
Apart from all that, it was an expertly made episode. The music, the lighting, the stage play feel of it all, the act structure, the acting. All perrrrrrrrfect. Best of the season
Also loved that one perfect scoff and eyeroll from Christian Slater while Vera was monologuing. I laughed |

Ep 7
|
HMMMM
that was a riveting episode, pound for pound probably the best of the season so far, but I still felt a bit disappointed afterwards. I was definitely expecting the third personality reveal there, and I have no idea how they're gonna fit that in now without it feeling super convoluted but we'll SEE
I'm just not sure how I feel about Elliot being abused being this huge twist that the show has been building up towards all this time. Like sure, it further informs the character, but if you're gonna stretch it out over all that time I feel like it should have at least some plot relevance, which I don't really see how it does right now. UNLESS White Rose uses that to manipulate Elliot to join her cause (ala Angela), which I could maybe see. He's vulnerable now, and he wouldn't have believed it if White Rose is the one who revealed that information to him, it had to come from Krista
I'm actually a bit surprised Elliot didn't just let Vera have the money, Dark Army would've been on top of him in no time (before he could do real damage with it) and it would've given him a convenient scapegoat |

I took the Vera/Elliot scene at the end to be him capitalizing on his plan of tearing Elliot down so he could build him back up, so I think he was just manipulating him. Though I guess it could've still come from a place of truth |

man what a wild ride that was. Veras reminded me of Vas from afar Cry 3 and it sucked seeing him die. Remi did a great job acting out that confessional. Sad to see veras die. I was hoping he was going to help down the dark army. |

Great episode. The Dom/Darlene stuff was great. I liked whatshername a lot as a creepy villain but this was a good time for her to go. She was SOOOO easy to hate this episode so seeing her bite it was a great moment. Dom has always been just alright for me but that was such a badass moment for her. Also I loved the trickery with her family being kidnapped, that was great
I had a theory for the third Elliot personality the other week and after this episode I'm pretty convinced. Then I looked online and read an article suggesting the same theory BUT I THOUGHT OF IT EARLIER OKAY
I'm prettyyyyyyyy positive it's right so don't you dare click this unless you wanna possibly know

Pretty sure that Christian Slater has been portraying TWO versions of Mr. Robot from the start. The recent few episodes had me thinking that he's weirdly nice to Elliot and it's such a change from him being a full fledged villain not long ago. I think one is Elliot's dad as he was (the mean one) and one is Mr. Robot, his ideal version of his dead
AS IT TURNS OUT (got this bit from the article), whenever Slater is wearing his classic hat he's in dick mode. Whenever he isn't wearing his hat he's trying to be Elliot's friend and helps him. Or vice versa, I forget. But I think if we rewatch the show we'll see that that could be the case from the get go. V cool |

hey that was p good

Dom stuff was definitely the best part, although I feel like they could've done a biiit more to flesh out Lucky Irish Bastard before he saved the day. Nothing against Dom but she better be dead now, that'd be a great close to her arc (much better than say, Tyrell's ending) and I don't see where there's left to go for her if she didn't actually sacrifice herself
(she was bleeding out for waaay more than 15 mins but this entire season has somehow taken place in like 2-3 days so who knows anymore)
RIP JANICE! I read an interview from that actress and apparently she originally auditioned for DOM back in S2, I can't even imagine that. Between this and BlackKklansman she sure knows how to play an utterly detestable character. Even before Dom's big moment I liked how you could see her smug veneer slowly slipping away as she started to see her plans unravel
I hope this means Irving's coming back from vaca to lock shit down. I miss him so much |
