Overall, 9/10. Felt like they could have used two seasons vs one extended one to really wrap up some stuff better, like Pickles' and Mr Peanutbutter's storyline ending in a single line off screen. Still, they did pretty good with the episodes they had, and I thought the way they closed the series (and the song choice) was amazing.
I think they ended the show at the right time instead of dragging it out too long, but I hope we see more/similar from within that universe. I loved the art style, the clever-yet-dumb jokes, and the way the writers went beyond creating just another funny adult animation. I think Tuca & Bertie was a step in the right direction toward that, albeit wasn't as quality as Bojack, tbh.

I heard amazing things about The View From Halfway Down and I kinda wish I hadn't because it didn't quite live up sadly, but it was still good. Same with the finale. Some good closure all around. I was expecting a finale with a tooooooooon of appearances from the enormous cast of side characters but they actually only had five speaking roles in the entire episode - the main five cast members. That was a fun choice tbh. And all those kooky side characters were still present at the party if you look around the background (as always). Tons of quick gags in those first few minutes when it was fast forwarding too. It's so fun to read about, there's way more going on than I could ever remember. This show has more recurring gags than even Arrested Development tbh
Wish the final season had more of Bojack's classic standout episodes but it was still consistent as always. Easily one of the more consistent shows I've watched. I don't mind it ending here but I'll still miss it v much. Got that classic series finale feeling in my stomach as it started to wrap up |
