There's talks of us getting a relocation team from the NBA, I'm thinking we might get the Suns or maybe the Clippers since the LA market belongs to the Lakers, the Clippers might be more successful here in Vegas. Personally I'd like for us to just get a brand new team we can call our own. And sports betting for the knights won't be a problem, shit you know how easy it is for any of these athletes to move out here or fly here and start betting and getting in deep with bookies? It's not 1980 all these things are easy access for any athlete.

I'm fine with either team winning tbh
Vegas is a great story
Ovechkin needs a cup. After eliminating the Penguins (thank god) and my Rangers not contending, I think it's a great year to see that.

I guess I'm rooting for the Caps, because Vegas can't win in their first season.

why not? they earned their spot after everyone in the hockey community said they wouldn't make it. whoever wins the cup deserves the win. go knights go! #nocaps

The players earned it 100% it's a good story for the rejects from other teams. My problem is these fans who some may be like you and switched over because you now have a local team, but plenty are new fans to hockey. If they win in their first year, expectations are going to be way too high for them moving forward and when they inevitably are not winning Stanley cups every year the fanship will cease.
It's literally a whole city of bandwagon fans getting rewarded without having to go through the heartbreak of losing and coming up short. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

well here's my thing on that, yes there are gonna be "fans" who won't be able to handle the non successful years, life long hockey fans like us have been through some bullshit so we know how to take being historically the worst team in the nhl and still getting ass fucked by the lottery system. and when those fans who aren't ready leave then the knights fan base will be better for it. as for having to go through heartbreak first, a lot of las vegas fans have been waiting years for a sports franchise and never got one because the city didn't "deserve it" because of the stigma attached to vegas. i've been here 10 years and it's by far been one of the best places i've lived with great people who have been here their lives waiting for a team like this. the people born here have already gone through the heartbreak of hearing that their home didn't deserve a sports team for 100 years. not to sound completely cocky but any team that couldn't get it done in that time period of existing, that's on them.

Good this season is over. Now I can resume my quest to see Minnesota raise the cup, just once in my lifetime.
