Pacific Rim is the fucking nut, it's all I want in a movie, just a shit ton of action. I went to see that in the theaters high as shit and it was unforgettable. 10/10 | Winner of 11 Courses of Thanksgiving

I've only seen like five of the ones in the poll.
Her was my favorite 2013 movie out of those mentioned in here. |
Better than Pacific Rim? ;)
|
I'm wearing a Pacific Rim t-shirt right now lol.
Such a good robot action flick. |
Yep- totally captured the kaiju/giantfreaking robot genre. Looking forward to the new one, since my only disappointment in the original is we didn't get to see more of the other jaegers being successful- like I would have loved to see some more of the Chinese and Russian jaegers in action, but our first time watching them battle they get double-teamed by category 4 kaiju.
My wife and I squealed with glee in the theater when Raleigh said they were out of weapons and she goes- "No, we have one" and the pop the sword out.

I tend to list the bigger award season movies first
Her
Captain Phillips
Gravity
Dallas Buyers Club
American Hustle
12 Years a Slave
Wolf of Wall Street
Prisoners
Great Gatsby |
yeah I've seen all of those except Dallas Buyers Club/Great Gatsby. American Hustle was the only I've seen from the original poll (:
I think Fruitvale Station was the best of that year for me. Pretty weak year though

Pacific Rim was definitely a fun movie.
Loved Ron Perlman. He should be in every movie. |
Agreed. Just a random Ron Perlman pop up cameo everywhere.

LOL- if you haven't seen the movie yet, you should. And this ruins nothing- it's not even the climactic battle!

Damn Fruitvale was no where on the Oscar page I was looking at. I can't believe it got snubbed that hard
