Nope not from the east playoffs, if they moved to the west then yes they are eliminated.

I actually want to see how the young Celtics develop this year, Brown and Tatum specifically.
They may be better than some expect without Haywood.

ma boi Giannis picking up where he left off |
yeah we couldn't stop him at all. doesn't help that the only player with the size and speed to cover him is only 20(21?) years old.

Tatum looks like hes 3 years older offensively and he has been hitting the glass really well so far. Brown has had flashes of brilliance especially against the Cavs. i think next year he might be an all star contender. you could see it coming in summer league when he was clearly the best player on the floor every game he played.
i hope they do well and keep George, don't need the Lakers adding stars left and right in free agency. as it is the will probably get at least 1 max player next summer.

Jazz are looking great. The Timberwolves loss was a bummer but Hood and Ingles were superb, Gobert had an uncharacteristically bad game. I'm watching the Thunder game now, which I already know the result of thanks to Facebook spoiling me, but Rubio is killing it.
They're a playoff team for sure this year I think, despite the stacked West. |

I'm not a Nuggets fan, but looking at their schedule, it looks like they've beaten teams that are worse than them. :)
I'm in Oklahoma. Which should lead to discussions as well ...

in the West its hard to win, plus Melo* is not as much of a plus as you probably expected him to be.
*i haven't looked at any Thunder games or Melo's stats.

Melo moving to the bench would help.
Biggest issue seems to be Westbrook hijacking the offense and going iso ... Donovan has nice game plans, and runs good sets, you can tell when the backups, young guys are in. They get good looks.
Hard to tell if Donovan is just a failure at getting the players to listen to him, or the players ignoring him.
I don't get it, Billy can coach. But maybe he can't get the team to follow him...

Melo has always been a net negative in my mind as an NBA player. Westbrook was able to follow the game plan before so idk why its an issue now. Donovan is on the hot seat, close to becoming the next to failed the transition from collage.

well, to be fair, the gameplan last year (rightly so) was to clear out and let Westbrook isolate and do whatever he wanted to. He can't, or shouldn't, do that this year.
