They're fine. Some are better than others
Do you have any? Do you want more or less? If you don't have children, do you want any and how many?
I have no children and I'm p sure I can't anyway so I've pretty much run on that assumption since I was kid myself. Doesn't seem like a huge loss! I wasn't (completely) joking when I said I'll probably adopt when I'm 50. Probably just one if I do
Boys vs Girls?
My experience with my cousins' kids (before I stopped paying attention and the youngest ones just became a blur of children whose names I don't remember) is girls are terrors and boys are fine but that's a really small sample size.

An 11 year old on dA stole my artwork and colored it and i was both annoyed and flattered.

I have 2 kids with one boy and one girl. There is just over 8 years difference between them, so that should be interesting, as they continue to grow up.
I'm pretty sure I'm done having kids, as they are fucking expensive, and I've got 2 people's worth of students loans to pay off already. Plus, daycare is expensive and I don't live anywhere near family, so the free kind isn't an option.
Worst thing about having kids? Say goodbye to weekends. If you aren't at a soccer game, it's scouts, or basketball, or dance, or rock climbing, or tennis, or gymnastics, or swimming.
Best part? It's a great excuse to get new toys.
With your cheery demeanor a woman actually willingly fucked you twice? Well hot damn. I guess Chris might actually have a shot to get laid in his lifetime.

I don't have any but I do want children at some point. When I'm actually settled and have a proper income. I want about 27
Boys vs Girls?
Just from growing up with a lot of cousins, step siblings, and my own sister, I can safely say that teenage girls are absolutely evil. But they grow out of that phase and tend to become normal well adjusted adults far quicker. Boys on the other hand, go through a dumbass phase later on around the age of 18, and don't always grow out of it.
They both suck for different reasons.
Best thing about kids? Worst?
They best is that they have a unique perspective on the world. And yeah, like Merc said, seeing them learn something for the first time.
The worst thing about kids is when a bunch of them ganged up on me at laser quest.

I love MY kids and the kids they hang around with. Kids I don't know or witness in public, it's their parents that I don't like as much as anything.

I have 3 kids (2 daughters & a son). We won't have any more, that's it for us. In hindsight we should have tried having 1 more, but I had it in my mind I only wanted 3 and got sniped after the 3rd.
Boys vs Girls?
Both have their pluses and minuses to say the least, up until the time they get to about 4th grade there really isn't much difference between the two other than just their normal personalities. Once groups and clicks start forming at school, then boys become much easier, imo. My daughters both had hard times with some girls in their classes because they take things so personal and worry about more than they should. My son had some issues as well but had a I don't give a shit attitude that made it much easier. Once they got through middle school and into high school most of that stuff ends and they all stand up for themselves and protect their friends and that stops most of the crap.

The best thing for me is to see their excitement when they succeed at something they love. Whether it's my son scoring a touchdown, my daughter singing in front of the whole school, or my daughter hitting a 3 to win a basketball game. They all give me such a huge sense of pride knowing what good kids they are and my wife and I can't wait to see where life takes them and we want to be a part of it in any way we can.
I can't imagine my life without them, would I have more money without them, sure. Would I have more time for myself, sure. Would I not stay up at night wondering if they are alright when they are out, sure. Would I be able to retire sooner, sure. Would I be able to have a nicer house or place up north or any number of material things, sure. But I wouldn't trade them for anything, what better way to leave my mark in the world than giving it 3 good kids that will do great things and have families of their own to share life with.
