i've been playing after having the game since launch, guess i just wanted to binge. I really like Rachel's character, thought they did a good job at making her as likable as you'd imagine from the characters talking about her. | nav is ugly and i am pretty |

great as always, though I think episode 2 was still the best of this series
The scene in James' office was super stressful. At first I immediately felt bad when I graffiti'd his desk cuz we just had the HEART2HEART in the previous scene, but that guilt got undone very quickly. It was such a helpless feeling having Damon make all these demands and knowing you're already in too deep to back out at this point
AND THEN FUCKING ELIOT COMES IN. And to think he felt like a tolerable version of Warren to me in the first two eps (even tho I still mostly ignored him anyway), he was fucking awful this episode. I wish I could've smacked him with the trophy instead of throwing it through the window
CHOICES:
only one big choice this time?? It was a doozy tho. I was so torn and apparently so was everyone else, it's split perfectly 50/50 right now. In the end I didn't tell Rachel the truth tho. I so badly wanted to to give her some CLOSURE but it really wouldn't have helped anything in the end as even Sera admitted, it'd just fuck Rachel up even more. Tied in perfectly with the episode's theme of necessary lies too
other choices:
- You killed the plant with soda. lol whoops. At least I TRIED to save it! :$
- You accepted David's photograph. I had Chloe berate David at every turn during that conversation even though he was being surprisingly cool about it (probably cuz it was Mother's Day) but there was no reason to go THAT far and reject it
- You didn't have Drew's money at the start of the day. Cuz I gave that to Damon last ep? ya
- You visited the Norths at the hospital (other options were "sparred with Drew over pudding"?? And "played tabletop with Mikey" which had 0%?? Wish I could've got one of those)
- You didn't donate to the firefighter's fund. I guess that was a thing
- You convinced Damon that Gerald was the snitch. Apparently this was the lowest option and even framing the NICE BOUNCER GUY was higher?? wtf. I picked Gerald (the T-shirt vendor) over the mugshot guy cuz I didn't feel like someone that hardened would've snitched I guess, so I went with the middle of the road option out of the three. I wonder if there actually was a right answer to this? Cuz it seemed Gerald wasn't it, whoops
- Rachel didn't meet her mother. obv
Can't wait until Farewell comes out. Having those characters back (with the original Chloe voice even) with these writers is gonna be amazing |

I was already profoundly sad during that ending shot of Rachel/Chloe in the junkyard, all the while having the image in my head of Chloe later digging her up in that spot
Then that fucking after-credits scene happened. God that was a gut punch |

Honestly...a little disappointed :(
It was lacking something. There was no big emotional...anything here really. No TEMPEST level scene, nothing too close sadly. I'm a little bummed
I just like like the first two episodes were building towards something and then Sera came outta left field and dominated this one. I think they could've spent more time in certain areas instead of wasting time sidelining Rachel with the stabbing. Why sideline Rachel in the final episode??? Obviously they did it so that Chloe could be alone with Sera to set up the big choice at the end but I still could've used more Chloe/Rachel time
I didn't like the decisions/lack of decisions either. Only one major one is a letdown and the rest were all super obvious landslides or were determined by choices you already made previously (like whether or not you have the money effected two different things). Everyone who is human would take David's photograph. Everyone who is human would visit the Norths at the hospital
But I will say the final/only decision was great, because MAN was I torn. I was so sure going into it that I was gonna hide it from her and then at the very last second I was like man........FUCK that!! Knowing how the rest of Rachel's life plays out and that she would die soon and knowing how close her and Chloe are up to it, I couldn't stand the thought of Chloe having that burden to carry. If you lie to her that really fucks Chloe up even more post-Rachel death, knowing that Rachel died and you kept something pretty major from her. And yeah that adds even more tragic depth to Chloe but I dunno, that's too much. TOO MUCH! I need Chloe to be unburdened there. Plus Rachel was crying to Chloe earlier in the episode about how her entire family is a lie and that everyone lies to her, there's no way I could do the same
I thought Eliot was creepy in the hospital scene but man oh man did it get worse. We got a Mark Jefferson protege on our hands!! That kid fucking blows. I wanted to smash that bottle of cherry over his face
The only way to get Rachel to meet with Sera is if you didn't kiss Rachel in the last episode and took her bracelet instead. You give that bracelet to Sera to convince her to meet up with Rachel. I think only 6% managed to do that. I almost don't even wanna watch that scene since it didn't happen for me tbh. I'm sure it's a nice moment but I just couldn't be bothered to care a whole lot about Sera or whether or not they ended up meeting, I dunno
The saddest shit overall is just knowing how it all ends up. The montage at the end was really good. And they played Bros by Wolf Alice and I love that song so that was cool, great music as always. Hands down one of the best video game soundtracks, gets me instantly invested in the world and the characters upon hearing it
But yeah knowing Rachel's fate the whole time was fucking brutal and the Jefferson dark room ending was FUCKING BRUTAL. With Chloe calling Rachel. Ugh. Fuck that, fuck Mark Jefferson
The other saddest thing continued to be Chloe's journal entries to Max. Did you guys read all of them? They're really saddening, it makes Max seem like such a dick and a distant character, it's kinda crazy how effective they were at that. I'm shocked by how equally I care about both Chloe's relationship with Rachel and with Max in each series. One of my favorite bits was when Sera was talking to Chloe about loss and I knew the obvious response would be Chloe saying she lost her dad, but when the "I lost my best friend" option came up I pressed it immediately, that was a brutally sad response to me
Amazing prequel overall. 2>1>3 for sure which is too bad, I was hoping it would build and build. But it was overall fantastic. Makes me wanna replay LiS immediately. I think I might. It's gonna be so brutal seeing the missing Rachel Amber posters up everywhere |

Boc you accuse that asshole who fucked with you during Firewalk in episode one, I forget his name. Not the bouncer or Frank or t-shirt vendor, the fourth guy. If you look around the office you'll find information about him being the informant |
