That sounds great @ throwing the letter in the fire

I kinda wanna read the books but I don't wanna bother starting if he never finishes them. I'd be so mad if the tv show ending was the only ending I had

It'd still be worth it, and he's only 68, he's going to finish the books before he croaks.

And if he doesn't finish the last book, a lot of it is probably already written, definitely the ending

He may be 68 but it's taken him 7+ years to write TWOW, and there's not much reason to believe ADOS will come out any quicker. In which case he'd be at least 75 when it comes out, and considering how fat he is there's a very decent likelihood he won't make it that far unfortunately

That said it doesn't matter so much to me if he finishes them either. Obviously I'd prefer it but I wouldn't regret reading them at all if he never gets to write the ending

Yeah but you have to take into account that he's probably already written most of ADOS at least in his head while writing all the books and especially now with TWOW since it's both all connected and some chapters he writes for TWOW he'll move to ADOS like in the last two books.

I doubt the wait will be this long for ADOS.

I mean, that's what people were saying when he finished ADWD wasn't it? (: Since he solved the problems with the Meereen plot that stalled him for so long, people were thinking TWOW would be out by 2014 iirc. idk I hope you're right but I'll believe it when I see it

Like, I didn't really hate it at all other than Littlefinger's demise, but this:

Too many winks at the audience in this one as reminders. They pulled so many groups of people together and each time they did it they had the same shot of different pairings giving each other knowing glances cause the audience had to be reminded that there's some significant rivalry there. Ellaria and The Mountain, Jaime and Euron, Tyrion and Davos. Every time it happened I rolled my eyes

Quote

"Hey you, shall we remind the audience how we're connected?"
"Sure, allow me to begin!"

And then they just fall back into line and a different pair comes forward to do the same thing. Not only did it happen over and over in a 10 minute stretch alone, but its been happening ALL season more than any other

It makes more sense for people who haven't seen each other but the worst are people who haven't even met but have an acquaintance in common who happens to come up

I counted, these types of shots/interactions happened exactly seven hundred and eighty-five times in this episode

is literally all I can pay attention to now. I tend to agree with the idea that Tyrion is either worried about being replaced or that he is worried about Daenerys becoming distracted by her emotions. He more or less just got her away from Daario's influence.

I guess on the Tyrion thing. Could he perhaps know if Cersei's plan. The scene ended relaxing the Lannister family name could live on. Perhaps he knows of her true motives or convinced her to lie? Seemed like a weird way to end that scene.
"So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

Saw a quick interview with Dinklage and he seemed to be saying that it just made him nervous because relationships muddy things and tend not to end well. I couldn't tell if he was saying that as himself or if he meant that's what Tyrion was thinking

I think I was only half paying attention during the last bit of that scene (I didn't see how he knew she was pregnant) but Tyrion plotting with Cersei doesnt seem to make sense to me at all. And that last shot of Tyrion seeing them bang doesn't feel like it was meant to be a guilty reaction to going against her

I think I was arguing in mafia during that scene. Perhaps I didn't like the episode because I didn't watch the episode :$

There was a pretty big moment in the leaked finale synopsis that never ended up happening. Every single thing came true except for this one thing so I'm a bit confused, either they just got it wrong or cut it for some reason. Wouldn't be surprised if it still ends up happening tho. CLICK IF YOU DONT CARE:

I wonder if Tyrion knows who Jon really is? Kind of seemed that's what they were hinting at in that last scene. For that matter I bet varys knows.

Dany definitely preg. I bet they find out their relationship and marry anyway, Targaryon style.

Littlefinger, evil Machiavellian genius who orchestrated a bloody civil war...outwitted by children!

Varys, a guy so sneaky that his nickname is literally 'The Spider'...reduced to a fat asexual loser who hangs around uttering smarmy one liners now and again.

Honestly, I don't think they have kept true to a single character. The two aforementioned are obvious examples, along with Jamie, but really, who have they portrayed faithfully over the past several seasons? (Consider how dull Tyrion has become, when before every scene he was in was gold). They have all become skin deep, with the writers relying on one liners as a substitute for actual dialogue. As a result, nobody gives a damn what happens to any of them!

And on top of all this they've set up a boring good vs evil narrative with Cersei on one side and literally everyone else on the other. Fheh
