I know it's not exactly on schedule as I promised (big surprise) but I would like to go ahead and open up the character creation and submission process. Fill out the "application" below and PM it to me. It's more formal than anything, it's doubtful that your answers to anything will actually impact you being able to play the game. I will leave this open for a couple of months so you can change or tweak things during the window that I'm accepting submissions. Please title your PM "Labyrinth Character".

What you should know about the game: The setting will be a sprawling structural marvel of a seabase situated near the Mariana Trench in the deepest part of the Pacific Ocean. Investigative probes into the Challenger Deep resulted in a complete loss of contact with the men and women living and working in deep seabase TIAMAT. You are being sent down into the depths where no one really wants to go in order to assess the situation and salvage any scientific data. It's clear to you from the beginning that the organization funding this mission does not care whether you live or die, as long as they get what they want.

It will very much be a Labyrinth game, but I will be adopting some basic things from Dungeons and Dragons. You aren't going to have to be rolling dice constantly or anything, but players will be rewarded for exceptional roleplaying or coming up with ideas/solutions to puzzles and problems that I didn't foresee. I want the journey to be more interactive and to reward people for trying things, even if those things weren't intended. Things about your character's background and their personality will possibly come into play. I'm not just asking you for those on the application to make it look like there's more to fill out.

Character Information

Name: Your, uh, character's name. Picture (Avatar): Include at least two or three, please. Background: A brief overview of your character's past. A brilliant scientist? A convict looking for redemption as part of a suicide mission? A dude named Pat that really likes to play chess? Personality: Is your character sweet? An asshole? Bipolar? A no-nonsense, take charge kind of man, woman, or other? Strengths: What does your character excel at, if anything? Pick at most two things. Weaknesses: What is your character not so great at? Pick at least one thing. Greatest Fear: What is your character's greatest fear? What strikes them with paralysis? Claustrophobia? Snakes? Commitment? Different from your weaknesses in that your character's greatest fear may cause them to lose themselves when confronted with it.

I'd like to know a little about games you've played in the past. You don't have to have a ridiculous resume, I'm just curious. Your best game: If you're particularly proud of your performance in a game you have played, share it with me. Why do you want to play: Just because it's a game that is running? Do you like to roleplay? Whatever the reason might be. Activity Level: Of course I don't expect anyone to reply to this with "inactive" but fear of inactivity is the one factor that may come in to play here and keep someone from being cast. So please be honest with your response here. Labyrinth style games are usually as rewarding as you want them to be. If you just check in once a day you're probably not going to enjoy the game as much as someone who checks in more often BUT checking in once a day to do anything you may need to do is acceptable.
