I don't think a ninja kill could explain DS's death, because Mittens is saying that he was blocked. Ninja kills are usually not unblockable, and I don't see why Mittens would be blocked but the ninja wouldn't based on the way DS's role is worded about affecting all visitors.

Mittens could just be a mafia goon because DS's flip doesn't specifically say anything about blocking.

And if he was Town he wouldn't have to wait to think of a claim.

The role flip says they would be stopped in their tracks and it would be announced who TRIED to visit. That's what makes me slightly believe mittens.

This is legit. I just read the wiki, and ninja specifically can't be seen, says nothing about not being stopped. Likely the ninja would've been stopped but not seen.
