Oh hot damn, that's quite a big variety!

Which one would you have to say was your favorite?

Yeah, gotta say though that when I was your age I only had Benelux, France, Portugal, and Austria on my list. I'm Dutch too btw so my vacations in The Netherlands were mainly to places like Veluwe and Schiermonnikoog.

It's hard to name a favorite as I enjoy each country, but I think Madeira is my favorite place that I would go back to instantly. Love the scenery, the climate, it's easy and fun to explore by public transport, great food, Funchal is a nice capital (I'm not into big cities or big crowds so Funchal is perfect).

Farm stays in Slovenia is also something I will definitely do again in the future. It's one of the best countries for hiking. Food and wine are great too.

Spain is my favorite as a place to settle some time when I'm old lol. It's also convenient for a one week stay in the mountains during low season.

I know that I haven't seen the best of Italy. It's near the top of my wish list as well. Would love to explore some of its wine regions and small villages in the countryside. I've been to Lake Iseo and the Aeolian Islands. While pretty, they did not really feel like the real Italian thing that you see in pictures and imagine when you eat the best Tagliata.

I've done Canada (though that was Vancouver and it's like San Fran only colder in winter, so I don't even think of it). I'm also Czech Republic.

Technically I've been in the Netherlands, but that was just eight hours in Schiphol. We had a eight hour layover on the way to Prague and the plan was to sneak out and see Amsterdam during that time.

The problem is, I don't sleep well on planes. So instead of sleeping, I tried taking advantage of the free transatlantic booze toi try to get me to pass out for a little while. Instead, we landed at Schiphol and I was tired *and* drunk as fuck, so I was in no condition to see the city. We went towards our gate to see if there was somewhere we could get some rest, but that section of the airport was under renovation, so part of it was open to the air and cold. I laid down on the floor, but it was all tiled or concrete- I forget which- but it was hard and worse: stole all your body heat when you laid on it.

When we finally got to Prague, I was sober but exhausted. I got a jewish pocket*, went up to our room, and passed out. But next day we were raring to go.

*- It is a very un-PC meal, but delicious. It's pork stuffed with ham and cheese and stuff.

I have not been able to travel abroad nearly as much as I'd like. Someday though.

I've been to the Bahamas (Nassau), Jamaica, all of the BVIs, Mexico.
Inside the US, I've been a decent number of places: everywhere in the South and Texas, except Miami. I have been to Key West though. Boston, LA, San Diego, DC several times, the Salt Lake City area, Indy, South Bend, and Vegas. I've never been to NYC (been trying to convince my wife we need to go at Christmas time for the lights), Chicago, or San Fran. Never been up into the Northwest either.

We are headed to San Fran and Napa Valley this September. Next March we are supposed to be going to Belize.

Let me know when you had to San Fran and I'll give you some suggestions. And I'll also tell you to hit Sonoma County instead of Napa, but that's just me.

Hell yeah. That was KLM, but I've gotten the same on Virgin Atlantic.

Also, the flight attendants on KLM were gorgeous. And the PA in Schiphol had this sultry voice as she announced flight delays.

Thanks, I think my wife has most of it already planned out, though. This is pretty much her trip, though I am looking forward to it. She's been wanting to do Napa for ever, so that's where we're headed. We will have to do Sonoma next time!

I haven't traveled nearly as far as I'd have liked to by this point, but my job did allow for some fun travel for a couple of years.

US: 36 of 50 states (no New England, Gulf Coast, WV, and Alaska)
North/South America: Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Jamaica
Europe: Iceland, Sweden

I'm headed down to cook myself on the pristine white beaches of the gulf coast tomorrow. And, I do mean cook myself in the literal sense. It's brutally hot and humid down here right now.

This is my first full summer in "The South", and it fucking sucks. Not even going to sugar coat it. The humidity + heat is oppressively terrible. Why do people live in this part of the country again?

I'm actually wishing to be back in 110 and dry heat in the desert.

I grew up and live currently in Minnesota.

Non USA travels: Peru, El Salvador, Canada, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Zambia

USA Travels: I have a goal to see a game in all 30 MLB baseball parks across the country - So far I have seen 8 and by summer's end I will have seen 9. Almost a third of the way! (Twins, Brewers, White Sox, Cubs, Rockies, Royals, Cardinals, Nationals, Giants)

Future travels planned:
Roadtrip from Minnesota to California to spend time in San Francisco, Yosemite National Park, Sequoia National Park, and then stop in Utah on the way back to Minnesota to stay in Zion National Park.

Live in Utah, lived in New York for 21 years, traveled to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Nevada and Colorado. Going to Arizona in October. Been talking about California too.

I don't get out much. I probably should.
