There was a blastoise shadow at my work but I didn't feel comfortable leaving to try to track it down. I regret it.

They missed their window. Game is boring now. No social aspect. No friends to battle.

The actual gameplay is derivative and simple. There are a ton of bugs making it a frustration. It really shouldn't be successful, and if any other license were attached to the game it probably wouldn't be. But it's pokemon. It's riding high on waves of nostalgia mostly. For those of us who did play the original games and have fond memories, it's something more. It's an escapism into a world that we spent our childhoods wanting to be a part of.

It's so simple and quick to play and understand that anybody can pick it up and take part in seconds. The game doesn't require nor heavily rely on micro-transactions (at least at the earlier accessible levels and even later it's just to avoid grinding).

They do need to get on and implement more server stability, bug fixes and actual content. It's not going to pique people's interests for very much longer without it. The instant rush will soon die down.

I have a Gastly. Since all of my Pokemon are from whatever spawns on my house that's where he was. I also caught a horsea which is ???

Mostly its just Eevee and Oddish. FOR A TIME the Oddishes were the strongest things I saw, with CPs of like 80 average. The Gloom I caught was way lower. I just now saw a CP12 Oddish though so I guess the reign has ended

I think most of the bugs come from the heavily loaded servers, and they're in the process of adding more worldwide, so hopefully the game will be much more stable soon.

Also because of the huge player base they're making boatloads of money, which will hopefully bring more engineers and more content sooner.

Part of me is a little depressed that it takes a video game to encourage us to go outside, but it is one positive aspect for sure.

I too am interested in seeing what games build on this platform. There are some way cooler possibilities.

A pacman game where you run around the center of your city streets and collect the dots while ghosts on your cam chase you from behind

They're supposed to be adding a trading feature very soon and apparently the game will update every two weeks so that's cool that they're constantly fixing/adding new stuff

ya I have an update and I only ever play it at work (with no wifi) and its not worth wasting the data.

I took a bus through NYC two weeks ago. I saw what I was missing not living in a big city and the 3 Oddish that always spawn in front of my house just weren't worth it anymore

I'm almost at level 5.
