EXTREMELY mixed feelings.

I was loving the episode up until Osha's death. And then everything turned sour. It tends to work that way with me. Same thing happened when Doran died.

This 'Sansa Rise to Power' storyline can only lead to two things.

She helps lead the Northern troops against the Boltons and prevails > thus re-claiming the North and becoming QITN.

OR

minor book spoilers (that everyone should know tbh)+

The first one seems to happy-endish for GoT. And the second one would infuriate book readers.

I dunno. It's going to be interesting to see where it goes.

Brienne is a badass.

Davos and Melisandre have to follow Jon right? They arnt going to stay at Castle Black all by themselves.

They seem to be setting up Margery going to die? They keep saying WE WILL SAVE HER, we all know how that usually ends!

I want to see more of Bran, thought I would never say that....

I can't really blame the writers for deviating from the source material so heavily. They have a year to create the entire show and are forced by constraints specific to television (budget, actors, time to shoot, location etc).

GRRM has had 5 years since his last book to come out (16 years since the last truly great ASOIAF book IMO) and is constrained only by his own personal difficulties in writing the stories, and were still left with nothing.

I think a story of this magnitude is simply very difficult to write and that sometimes you have to take shortcuts with characters. I would have loved to see more Osha but I can kind of understand why the story doesn't really have room for. What I have no patience for is the terrible dialogue we got in Dorne last season.

Also I loved all the siblings that reunited this episode. It felt like such a big payoff to see some Starks FINALLY in the same room together.

I dunno why they called it that, but the seven pointed star (bible) verse with Margaery and the sparrow was from the book of the stranger

To be fair, as much as I didn't like the Osha death, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have cared much if she was the same character from the books. The show characterized her so much more, I think even GRRM admitted that. I think it's a lot different from say, the Doran death

Can we make a pact to never talk about Dorne again?

I just want to forget it. At least until he releases the books.

Huh, it looked to me like Jon stormed out of Castle Black in the last episode, never to return. So I lol'd when it seemed he had come back because he forgot to pack his things (:

...I don't look forward to this show like I once did :(

I didn't really care much for anything that happened tonight, except maybe the ending scene with Dany, even though it was basically the same shtick from the Season 1 finale. Also the Theon / Asha reunion. Otherwise I didn't care. The Stark reunion was surprisingly meh after the initial scene, and I didn't care when Osha died...it's hard to stay invested in these characters when they seem to exist purely to serve the advancement of the plot, instead of behaving like real people.

I really wanted Osha to do damage from within, such a waste, loved the Stark reunion, Jon, the wildlings will go to war with the Boltons with the Arryns force coming from the East. I imagine as the wildling army slowly dies we'll see the Arryn banners come in to the rescue.
