I suggest finding a different place to play mafia then because again this is not a mafia board, it's a small section on the site for fun. The active users thing is a part of this site and it aint going anywhere

You don't seem to understand that being seen in your PM system =/= having a night action. This is very rarely used to actually catch people doing anything, it's just occasionally something scum or town or whoever will take note of during a game. If you can believe it, there are people on this board who leave the mafia forum and thus use their PM system for many other things, so noticing someone using the PM system can mean very little because there's a big chance that they're using it for things outside of Mafia. It also doesn't distinguish between sending a PM, receiving a PM, reading an old PM, etc

It's just another aspect of playing Mafia on a forum over IRL or over Skype or whatever. tldr it's not a big deal one way or the other at all and this seems to be overblown

This is silly.

People have used active users for years. It's not a secret. It's also easy to hide what you're up to by opening another page. Also mafia can always submit PMs instead of doing it on the mafia board. Also sometimes people actually have conversations on PM so it doesn't mean anything!
