I was expecting Malvo to look too. I wonder if he even knows Lester is there or if it's a coincidence
Did anyone else expect Gus to die during his phone call with Molly? When the camera began to pan sideways and the music kicked in. I thought Malvo was gonna come outta no where and I was so anxious

I'm surprised they did a whole year time skip, geez. I wonder if it was purely so Lester fans could see him be successful for a time before having him fail hard in the end and get arrested/killed/etc. I still think it would be amazing to let Lester actually come out alive and free in the end. | A survivor becomes a leader...

That intro was so so good. It's between that and Lester's fake story for best open of the season
There's only one episode left right? I can't imagine how they're gonna wrap up everything that quickly but I have FAITH

Yeah I loved the intro. Those two and the last one were my favorites, with Lester getting the new washing machine and cleaning out the house. Really liked that one for some reason
And yeah next one is the finale. I think it might be 90 minutes but I'm not sure. I hope so

That part was so great, with Malvo asking him the yes or no question again. INTENSE! I loved Lester hitting him with his trophy and running away. He's such a bumbling fool

Deeecent finale. It didn't wow me nearly as much as the other episodes (especially the last several) but it was satisfying at least. With how dark the show's been at times it was kinda surprising that at least Gus didn't die, but I was relieved. Lorne's death was good. Him jolting awake and smiling made the scene
Only thing I was kinda missing with this finale was seeing what happens with CHAZ (: And what DID happen to the deaf guy?
Behind True Detective this was one of the best first seasons I've seen. Guess more shows should try having a single writer! I hope this writer does another season. In one interview I read he said he was open to it

Also the monologues might be my favorite thing about this show. Molly's "gloves" monologue was great

I thought it was prettyyyyy pretty good. I would've liked maybe a BIT more from it as well, but I'm not sure what really. Each character and story that I cared about was wrapped up well. An extra half an hour would've been nice
REAL surprised that it ended with the good guys winning. I thought for sure one of Lester or Malvo would escape. My money was on Lester getting caught and the final scene being Malvo moving onto his next toy. I really had no idea who I was rooting for by the end there in terms of living, dying, getting caught or escaping. For some reason I still did not want to see Lester die
Both their deaths were so good though. Malvo's "Good for you." line was perfectly delivered, he sounded so pissed that he was finally done for. And his jolt was great as well. The shot of Lester running as the ice was cracking beneath him felt so iconic in a way. The music was perfect too
I was anxious as fuck the entire time, especially when Gus was approaching Malvo's hideout. I thought he would come back or it would be trapped or something. I was sad to see Pepper and Budge die but there was no way they were gonna survive :((
And yeah the monologues, metaphors, and riddles all make the show. Bob Odenkirk killed his retirement scene
Pretty masterful first season. Like True Detective, I have no idea how they'll top this. So consistent and perfectly acted. I'm already gonna miss these characters quite a bit
