Idk, whatever, I just don't think claiming puppet master on day 2 is an amazing idea, I think it's one of the more important roles.

I also think it was stupid. He could've tried to just get Nofo lynched today if he felt confident enough about it

BUT I still buy it. I think it's weird that you immediately tried to discredit the claim

So Nofo... How come when I controlled you and made you target Paco he died?

can you make them target themselves? would have been amusing if you hadn't said anything and they sent him for the kill again and he died because of it. this is of course in hindsight and assuming you are telling the truth. just thought it would be funny

Honestly, I just don't buy that Nofo is mafia. It's way too obvscum from his attitude yesterday. Clearly he was trying to deviate from something, or become a target for whatever reason. If anything he's vig or SK. And it looks like we probably only have one or the other.

I wasn't trying to discredit the claim, I was saying that if that's the sole thing we base that lynch off of, I find it really weird.

Interesting. I'm still a bit leery of Dylan for being essentially useless on day one, but Id rather see what's up with this Nofo business.

I don't see why a vig or an SK would attempt to deviate from something or try to become a night target. I get the thing about not wanting to blindly follow this one piece of info from ff, but Nofo was already shady and a fine lynch target for today. FF's claim is even more of a reason to go for Nofo, not the sole reason

Yeah, it would be a very strange play for FF to lie about his role at this point. With no mafia dead yet, there's absolutely no reason for them to try a Xanatos gambit to drive lynches at this point.

Why would somebody claim any town role in a game with a closed role setup? The real puppet master might show up and immediately jump on his lie and it would essentially not only waste a mafia member, but also pretty much confirm Nofo as town or third party for the remainder of the game.

There are reasons to doubt the lynch, but that isn't one of them.

You also have to consider the kill count last night was two. It's meta-gamey to assume the existence of a serial killer in mafia, but it's so common-place on this site now to have an SK.

Assuming a lack of SK, Nofo would have to be innocent to account for the two kills. But if there's an SK in the game, Nofo has to be mafia. Unfortunately there's no way to know this until the SK is lynched.

And Nofo could be the SK (:

I just think it's more likely that given two kills, Nofo's role isn't town aligned.

Well I have something to go on now. I thought back and forth about claiming and obviously did in the end. The start time for this is before I get home from work each day so I don't know how much I can tribute in the future. Usually I go all game without getting much and just wait and stall but I finally had something so I went for it.

If he wasn't acting like that on D1 I would have probably decided to wait.

Agreed about him defending so quick. If Nofo flips Maf then this will be a lead.

lol I wish I would have thought of that. It does not say anything that I can't make them target themselves. It just says I can't use myself.

Very interested in what Nofo has to say. Basically the only options are SK, vig, or mafia sent for the kill. 33% is pretty reasonable doubt, but he's probably our best option for today

Though I also think Jen/Pat/Ari are all worth looking at. That counter-train seemed pretty sketchy. I'm just not sure that the mafia would want to stick their necks out so obviously like that on D1

Both trains bugged the hell out of me yesterday! I wasn't around to comment at the time but that was some seriously questionable shit.

The tying still baffled me. Especially since each came with a "I don't want it to tie" clause as they tied it. It was ODD

In terms of counter train I'm more suspicious of Jen than I am Patrick and Ari. In her case I'd see it as an inexperienced mistake, which is something a mafia member could/would theoretically do, whereas Pat and Ari should definitely know better than to do that kind of thing if they're scum. Still, there's always the possibility that one or both of them are taking the "hiding in plain sight" tactic, where you're so obviously mafia that you can't possibly be mafia.

I dunno. Maybe I'm overthinking it.
