Also the music was really good at some points. I remember really like it when Godzilla and the female have their brief stare down in San Francisco

Spoiler + FIRST OF ALL! The lady sitting next to me was the most annoying movie goer I've ever seen. She GASPED at everything and nothing, she made strange wincing noises when the tide was rolling in, she screamed at the shot of the beetle on the toy tank, and she cried when Godzilla was buried by the building. CRIED!!

And yeah the movie lost a lot when Cranston got killed off. I didn't care about any of the human characters at all after that, ESPECIALLY not his son! Having the whole movie being a slightly neurotic Cranston trying to get his REVENGE on the monsters would've been much better It was really silly how they made it seem like Watanabe was gathering his DREAM TEAM only for Cranston just to die on the plane ride

Only character I cared about was Cranston, and besides him the only one I wanted to see more of was Watanabe. He was underused IMO

Because from my interpretation, that would mean there should be a third monster somewhere...

It was the monster first latching onto the site. The second earthquake was the monster deciding it was time to hatch.

Yeah but then what was the monster that had the first earthquake that killed his wife? Because then they hatched the one that was male that we saw and then the female hatched in Vegas.

These well made trailers got our hopes up for nothing yet again, reviews are predictably poo so far

This movie looks awful. They played the trailer before Aladdin. Why do they show horror previews before kids movies?

The latest trailers aren't very good but the first one (or two) were super well done. The trailer for the Godzilla from a few years ago was so good and that movie wasn't too great either

and they show them before kids movies for bored parents like you who are looking for anything but what you're about to see

There are still little kids in the theatre though. Not a smart trailer to play.
