Hardcore mode shits me up!

I jumped into a cave because I heard a spider, and built a dirt wall around me and waited until morning came.

When it did, the noises hadn't stopped and I looked up at the cave entrance and all of a sudden it fucking jumped down on my face.

I ran like fuck but it was no good, and when I was down to one health bar left I thought I was going to have to start another save...

But then I jumped into a stream and started hitting it from the water..and somehow managed to kill the bastard.

I am invested in this save now lol.

I've just accepted death is a natural part of things. It helps if you build a bed since that changes your spawn point. Mine is well away from where it was originally now in some jungle.

I don't know how to do any of that stuff yet lol.

I think you need wool and wooden planks to make a bed.

Lol in hardcore mode you don't have a spawn point, when you die your save file is erased!

I think there was a hardcore mode even in the beta, its's nothing that new.

A bed is three blocks of wood under three blocks of wool for the record. But yeah I <3 respawning.

Make a double bed for maximum comfort.
LolIn hardcore it's still good for making night day instantly, but make sure it's in a secure area or monsters will wake you up.

It's particularly goos if you do it as the sun is setting so no creepers spawn.

how do people get killed in this? I played a few times a long time ago and I just built a fort and hid away

depends on the difficulty. On peaceful only falling a distance and lava will kill you, but at harder difficulties monsters come out at night and try to kill you, plus you have a hunger bar that needs to be replenished or you will starve to death.

You need to find a nice village full of testificates and trade emeralds with them.

Oh and you really need to make a snow golem. Which is 2 snow blocks and a pumpkin on top.


And an iron golem is good for protection but it takes 4 Iron Blocks in a T shape with a pumpkin on top.
