I'm gonna point out that the idea of a Bryce/Rose hookup got 8 likes.

Not because I particularly desire the horrible, horrible thing that would be a Bryce/Rose copulation, but because I needed to comment on something to maximize my chances of appearing someday. (That being said, a bizarrely inappropriate therapist Patrick character could be amazing later on down the line...)

"Never thought I'd see the day when I left the old shack," Bryce said as he and Rose carefully traversed the streets. "You're sure your daddy was even on to something?"

Rose nodded.

"... And you're sure he's even alive girl?"

Rose sternly turned to face Bryce. "Again!?"

Bryce suddenly grabbed Rose by the shoulder and tossed her against the brick wall. "Quiet! You see that right there?" Bryce kneeled down and pointed to a tower, behind it, the bridge. "That right there is where the Operator sits... and waits..."

Rose saw it. "So what's our plan?"

Bryce smiled. "Watch and learn baby. Lemme show you how a man does things around here."

Bryce left the brick wall and walked into the middle of the street. He raised both his hands above his head and slowly approached the tower. Rose watched on the sides. She could see a sniper rifle pointed out from the window, just barely.

Bryce looked up at the guard tower and smiled. "It's me! Bryce!"

A whistle could be heard. The signal. Suddenly the bottom door of the tower opened and a man approached Bryce with a gun. "You.... uh..... know the........ um, drill...... Bryce," the man said.

"Yeah yeah Mal, I know the drill."

Bryce carefully lowered his gun to the floor and put his hands back up. Malion approached him and patted him down. "He's....... uh.... clean!"

"Bring him inside," someone shouted from the tower perch."

Malion grabbed Bryce and walked him into the tower. Bryce slightly turned his head to Rose as he walked inside. She wasn't sure what the plan was, she had no choice but to wait it out.

Inside the tower, a man with a sniper rifle descended a tall spiral staircase.

Bryce smiled. "Mr Operator, a pleasure to see you again."

The Operator smiled, "Aren't we passed this point? You can call me Curtis."

Bryce laughed, "You old ginger bastard, I just like the sound of Operator! It's so authoritative and whatnot! Haha!"

Curtis grinned, "You should tell that to the Administrator.... have you met him yet?"

Bryce frowned, "No... no I have not."

Curtis turned to Malion. "Fetch us some water!"

Malion scurried away.

"So, Bryce..... what brings you here again so soon? It seems like it was only a few months ago that we saved you from those walkers. Do you have any compensation for me this time? You know I don't just let anyone inside this site."

Bryce smiled. "I thought you'd never ask. What if I told you I heard about a potential cure to the madness?"

"I'm listening......."

"What if I told you that there's a doctor who may have figured out the key to this whole puzzle?"

"Carry on........."

"Well, Operator.... you can just ask her yourself. The girl is standing outside right now, and I had a feeling you'd want to talk to her."

"Go fetch her!"

"So you're the Operator..." Rose said while surveying the room.

"That's right. I'm the Operator. AKA your path in or out of the city. And your friend here tells me you have a reason to enter my land. Care to inform me?"

"My father... he may have discovered a cure. I need to find out."

Curtis quickly turned to Bryce. "Her father MAY have discovered a cure!? So this is all based around an uncertainty!? Jesus, Bryce!"

Bryce looked down at his feet. "There's something about this one, Curtis...."

Curtis turned back to Rose. "You will take Bryce. You will take two of my men. And you will go. You have my wish. Now leave me this instant!"

Curtis banged his fist on to the table. "Malion.... Wikey.... grab your shit! You're hittin the high road! The city of lights is calling your names!"
