Have you seen Breaking Bad? Or were you just not crazy about it?

Depending on how you feel about sci-fi, Black Mirror and Westworld are both fantastic. The former being a bit more grounded

Oh yeah, I actually binged Breaking Bad early last year and loved it, I just don't think it's the best show of all-time like most people do, mostly because the Wire exists. I did really like it though. Is Better Call Saul worth checking out?

I watch Black Mirror already...currently watching the latest season as I type this haha. And you aren't the first to suggest Westworld, so maybe I should give it a shot... I'm not super big into sci-fi, though. I like Black Mirror because of its basis in reality.

Oh Fargo is a good shout. I love the movie and I love Colin Hanks so I'd probably like the show, too. Maybe I'll go with that. Is it on Netflix?

Friday Night Lights is another favorite I didn't mention.

To be fair Westworld is no less based on a future reality than Black Mirror is

Honestly, depending on the episode of Black Mirror you're comparing it to, Westworld's not any more out there sci-fi-wise. Plays with a lot of the same themes of artificial/digital sentience, just delves much deeper into them since that's the show's entire focus

and ya, I was gonna say if you had seen/liked Breaking Bad, then Better Call Saul is def worth checking out

Cool, now that you guys both say that about Westworld I'll have to check it out. Most of my friends who had suggested it are just very sci-fi-heavy types so I figured it would be less up my alley, but if it's in similar vein to Black Mirror then I'll probably like it. Plus I just got a Roku so I can be lazy in bed and watch it on HBO Go! :garydance:

Another one you'd probably like is Veep. Definitely has some very dry humor, and it's got some great satire (mostly the first few seasons)

Watch Dirk Gently. Lots of dry humo(u)r, whacky characters, and it got two seasons before being cancelled. Bart, the holistic assassin, is one of my favorite female characters in a long time.

I've seen the first season and I liked it. Armando Iannucci wrote the Thick of It (great show) and In the Loop (one of my favorite movies) so I'm def a fan of his stuff.
