So my friend's cat has this tiny string of rope sticking out of her butt for some reason. I asked her if we should try to pull it out, but she said it's stuck and she's afraid to pull too hard. So um, gave her food and hopefully she poops it out.

What kind of string? Are you sure it's not a tape worm or something?

Tapeworms are usually flat right? It looks just like regular type of rope hanging out.

I just googled tapeworm and rope to compare and I definitely don't think it's tapeworm. Not sure how this even happened lol.

My cats used to chew ribbons on the Christmas presents and then throw them up but I could see them swallowing them, as well. Cats love stringy things so it could be anything.

I just change the litter box so I know they are still able to go and that it hasn't caused an obstruction and hope for the best. So far they have always been ok.
