Reaper has been lynched

Reaper was just trying to mind his own damn business. Got up every morning, put on his work shirt, got in his car, and drove to work. Then at the end of the day, he'd pack up his lunchbox, get back in his car, drive home, and heat up a microwave meal for dinner. Every. Single. Day. He was stuck.

Until today. Today, he decided to change up that routine, and instead head to a civic event in the town square that night. He wasn't quite sure what it was, as he didn't look too closely to the flyer posted in the break room at work. When he pulled up, he saw a lot of people he recognized. He headed their way, and they were equally as excited to see him.

"Hey guys, Reaper is here!" Rodney said.

"Great, now we have someone to sacrifice instead of Curtis" chimed in Ahoda.

"What do you mean 'sacrifice'?" Reaper asked the group.

The group didn't reply. They just closed in around him. Before he could escape, they lifted him up into the air, and took him up towards the stage. The group tossed him up onto the stage, and Jamie stepped forward, and said "The gods will be pleased with us today" and jabbed a knife straight into his heart.

As he laid there, bleeding out on the stage unable to really move, the last thought that went through his mind was "Man, I could really go for a hot pocket about now..."
