I had this tiny (almost not noticeable to anyone unless they were looking for it) red growth on the side of my nose for about 6 or 7 years and I finally decided to get it checked out in November. I waited way too long to begin with, but anyway... They looked at it, told me it was nothing, and then asked if I wanted it removed. I said I was fine leaving it for now but then they decided they wanted to remove it and test it.
I just got finished paying a $113 bill for the lab tests (which I wasn't told about during the visit), and I now got a bill for $90 from the doctor for the removal. All of this is with insurance too. I paid a $50 copay when I was there as well. Ridiculous. |
I'm confused why they wanted to test it. Why should you have to pay for lab tests?

I think just to cover themselves. They wanted to make sure it was benign even though they were almost positive it was on sight alone. | | |
