It's not very exciting. I was driving on the highway for the first (AND LAST!!!!!!!!!!!!) time, of course. An old fart started to merge right into me and apparently didn't see me. There was a car behind me, in front of me, and a guardrail to my left. I hit my horn as the guy was merging from my right and he forced me to clip the guardrail and shred against it. He bounced back into his lane and luckily the truck behind me didn't destroy me
I pulled over and a cop happened to be two cars behind me and saw it all so he pulled over too. We looked at the damage to my car, it was my stepdad's jeep so I was super nervous, but there's almost no real damage. It's just a large burn mark across the weird plastic side bumpers that his jeep has. It FELT way worse and the cop said it looked horrible and he was shocked that there wasn't more damage. He said he was surprised I didn't bounce off of the guardrail and get hit by the car behind me too, he said I was incredibly lucky
It was the worst at the time. First time driving on the highway and this happens. I thought I was RIP as it was happening
Glad that it wasn't your fault and you were lucky to have a cop as a witness.
I think I just had a deja vu thing happen to me, it says Moose posted her post 4 minutes ago but I remember reading it earlier today or yesterday. The thing she said about a few bad apples spoiling the bunch.
Everytime I see people doing stupid shit on the driveway my natural reaction is to slow down just in case. Some people just step on the gas and be like "everyone outta da way, i was here first".
I've honked at a couple of people driving down the road for getting distracted and swerving into the oncoming lane. Luckily, there was never any traffic and they didn't swerve again. I thought one guy was gonna attack me after opening his door at a stop sign, but it was only to pick up whatever he dropped.
