Amsterdam

I really enjoyed it. Not sure why critics hated it. It had a good story, action, great cast, and Taylor swift getting.....

Well watch the movie for that last one

I'm paused halfway through a movie called The Gentlemen. You can FEEL the Guy Ritchie of it all.

My to-watch List over the next couple weeks:

The Banshees of Inisherin
Elvis
The Fabelmans
Everything Everywhere All At Once
Decsion to Leave
Amsterdam
Living
The Whale
Babylon
Black Panther Wakanda Forever
Puss In Boots: The Last Witch
All Quiet on the Western Front

I watched The Banshees of Inisherin and Elvis tonight.

The first half of Elvis was like a dollar menu burger. The second half was a meal from a 4 star restaurant. What a bafflingly bad first half imo. And did we really need Tom Hanks roleplaying as The Grand Nagus from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine? Felt like a slideshow mess devoid of any intimacy for so much of the film until things settle in. And even then we're shifting from one perspective to the other. The second half was good, though. I'm a sucker for If I Can Dream.

The Banshees of Inisherin was brilliant and strange, and I enjoyed it a lot more than Elvis.

Jung_E. It has the makings of a good movie but it's like they didn't want to make one.

Two docs last night

Mister Organ - from the director of Tickled. Not quite as good as that but close. Michael Organ is a menace just like Terri Tickle. 7/10

The Hatchet Wielding Hitchhiker - Netflix true crime docs have really dropped off. 4/10

I watched a man called Otto last weekend.

I enjoyed it, and liked Tom Hanks as the grumpy old man.

It was sort of a more realistic and slow moving Gran Torino.

What a name for a movie lol.

Finally went and saw Avatar last night. I had no expectations going in. It was pretty great.
