Mr. C might have cancer.

Hey I never gave an update on this.

Mr. C does NOT have cancer. He had a really scary situation with his health. For those that don't know, he found out he had Hepatitis A a few years after he moved to Utah and his doctor gave him 5 years to live. This is when he was very persistent that I move up here. He never told me about this until I did, which was long after the 5 years he was given had passed. His health got real bad last year as Hepatitis gives you a really shitty immune system, but a cure was found for it and he was eligible to get it. One of the potential side effects of it was cancer and a laundry list of other stuff, which made him deathly ill as the antidote did it's stuff.

BUT, as now, he is 100% hepatitis free and his doctor said he still has another 20-30 years left in him. Hooray!

My parents' neighbor committed suicide this morning and my mom was there when they found him and was the one who called 911. He shot himself in his truck. My parents are both really shaken up about it

and damn, dr....That's rough. Hope that they don't let that linger in their thoughts and seek counseling if they think they need it.

My grandfather passed away this morning, after a battle with some sort of cancer. We weren't exactly close, but since my other grandfather passed away when I was real young, he was the only grandpa I had growing up.

The one positive note in this, was that his two sons were able to come spend the last 3 weeks with him while he was in hospice care. Both of them live on opposite coasts, so neither was around Minnesota more than once a year or so. I'm just glad my dad (and uncle) got that time to be with each other and with him before he passed.

My dad's cancer has spread to his shoulder and further into his spine and pelvis. It's not good. He's being admitted to the hospital now to start radiation and chemo since his immunotherapy isn't working anymore.
