I'm looking to see what phones I could get, but I am trying to pretend that my phone will magically recover from its downward spiral and I wont need one.

It'sa Droid 4.

It's just old and suffers heavy use, so a lot of stuff has been slowly dying on it. It has trouble registering touches and gestures, and the battery life is about a fifth of what it once was. It's extremely slow to charge, and sometimes when it's charging it thinks the SIM card was removed. It's also extremely slow at times. I got a text this morning when I was trying to get into settings (to try disabling and uninstalling all apps I don't use) and that reduced the pace of just loading my apps section of my settings to 10 minutes.

That's why I decided to go look at what I can get to replace it. Wasn't really happy with what was offered though, so I'm going to hold on a while longer. The purge seems to have helped the speed even if it cant help the other problems.

Ever since my vacation and the fact that I took over 800 pics, I've apparently reached close to the max of my icloud storage ability. I keep getting these messages to upgrade (on my phone and laptop) and I don't know if I should do it, or find an another external place to store my pics, get an external storage drive, or what? Any opinions about icloud or other types of storage?

The fuck? I can't begin to imagine how much use you must give the old bastard (i've got an old droid 4 too but it wouldn't take that much time). but really, it just sounds more of a hassle than a good use from what you describe it.

External is better, it also depends on the type of pics you take.

They're from my camera but it has wifi so I transferred them all to my phone so I could post them easily. Anyway, thanks!

It might be a good idea to print them out and put them in a shoe box under your bed.
