I don't think you can blame a company for someone wearing one of their jackets, I assume she's wearing the jacket to protest the news and not the children she was visiting that day.

Anyway, while the Kim Jong Un thing was a good thing imo, whatever's going down there on the southern border with kids and parents, seems utterly inhumane and I'm not sure why republicans are defending it as much as they are?

I'm not blaming the company for what she's wearing
The company is shit cuz it constantly rips off and steals from other fashion designers/companies

Holy shit Joe Crowley lost his primary to a 28 year-old Democratic Socialist who is a total badass.

This is absolutely shocking. He was the front runner to be the next Speaker if Dems take the House in November.

Good for the district that an old boy networker was taken down. May be bad for the dems as a whole that it was by someone so far from center.

I love it. We need a wave of young, community organisers in Washington who are actually in touch with the communities they’re representing.

Your country seems to be drifting slowly to the right so maybe this is a good thing?

It is drifting slowly to both extremes. That's the problem.

19% turnout means the candidate might not be a representative of what the people in that party really want, imo.

I may be a bit baised since Social Democracy has been in power here in Sweden for the last 100 years, but I agree with you that if the right slides further right and the left slides further left, it's likely gonna get worse.

It's already out of hand. The main focus of both parties has devolved to " Fear them..." instead of "support us"

It's why I question the mental capacity of people who choose to glom onto either party.

I mean 1.) It’s the Bronx and Queens. 2.) It’s a primary 3.) This just indicates Ocasio-Cortez did a better job turning out voters than Crowley.

Now Dems in Crowley’s District are stuck with her but there’s no way a Republican wins that seat. It’ll be fine. The Progressive Caucus just gained a new member.

I will say Ocasio-Cortez really went hard the past few weeks to get that voter turn-out.

I agree with all that. I just mean that getting someone further to the left in there could make it harder to agree within the party. Much like the far right folks make it harder for the pubs to compromise on issues preventing them from accomplishing things.

Add to this that the closer to the fringes you get, the more of your core you alienate. This may be showing up in the voter turnout in most of the recent elections.

Although. I did read that a lot of the turnouts were up for this round of primaries.

I do hope she can get the health care stuff to pass. I would love to see this nationally, and hope a few test states can do it so they can start to get the kinks worked out.
