Sigh, what a steaming pile. If they just made it horror from the start I think the movie would have been good. You can definitely tell they were making it straight horror, and then the studio said, "nah, make it pg13 now" and then a month later they said "go ahead with horror". And then a month later they said "let's make it pg13 and also tie it in with the xmen movies." It was just all over the place.
There was no character development and then randomly 1 of the characters calls another one by their comic book name. It was just so badly written. And the ending...omfg....what a let down. Just when the movie actually got decent.

and that fucking forced relation ship of the 2 girls. what in the actual fuck. "Oh you're nice to me, we should hook up." jesus what a pos plot point that was completely random and pointless.
Yeah, The New Mutants I knew was going to be a dumpster fire before it even went into production. Once the release date kept getting kicked back, I knew my predictions were true cause that is a HUGE red flag when a major studio like that delays a mediocre as fuck looking movie for 3 god damn years. I love that it's failing right now and that everyone hates it. Hopefully they'll finally learn to just STICK TO THE PLAN. Studio interferences is going to be the death of Hollywood, they've been out of control and almost every god damn movie that comes from Hollywood SUCKS. When a good film is an 'exception', an overhaul is needed because jesus I feel bad for the youth that don't know any better.
Now, transitioning my train of thought back to why I came into this thread, I watched another Ingmar Bergman film tonight in my quest to watch every Bergman film, and a review of the film 'Dreams' is here.
Film: Dreams (1955)
Director: Ingmar Bergman
Country: Sweden
That final shot was perfect. PERFECT!! I cannot emphasize it enough, it left me in a state of pure ecstasy for a solid minute, my serotonin is officially depleted for awhile after experiencing that magnificent final shot.
It was the culmination of the 2 women both having their earth shattering realizations. Blinded by lust, greed and confusion, they spend their days with their respective men, only to have the ole staple of Bergman’s style hit you with all of that unfiltered and harsh truths about yourself that you’d rather never face.
Bergman’s scripts are astoundingly beautiful, and I’m actually ferociously in love with his films. Like full blown obsessed to the point that I have a hard time not mentioning Bergman with every human interaction I have. Isn’t it silly? Pathetic? Or just a testament to my passion of film? Take your pick, all three are cringey as hell, but that’s what Asperger’s will do to ya, folks. 😄
Alright, so this was film number 8 in my Bergman marathon of where I intend to go through all of his films. I‘m not even 1/5 of the way through his filmography and THAT makes me so excited. The feeling I’m feeling right now, knowing that I have so much more Bergman greatness ahead of me, is making me so incredibly giddy! What a phenomenal director! ♥️♥️♥️
Yeah I just noticed them there last night and had a lot of fun watching them. Not sure I want to rewatch the third one, but I am considering it. I always remember it being not the greatest of the three, but I may be wrong. It's been so long. The first was so great, the second a little less great but had a lot of moments I'd completely forgotten about, both did really.

I made it about 3 minutes in before I saw this beautiful green screen shot and decided that I wasn't ready to waste the next two hours of my life.
I thought the girl that played Magik was good and that they should pluck her from this trash heap and plop her in the next Deadpool. Assuming they do one.
