Although I wouldn't say that JOAT is more useful for mafia, I do think that lynching a suspicious JOAT claim is more reasonable than lynching a suspicion day cop claim -- simply for the reason that if Spin uses his ability to steal a vote next round, he's gonna clear his name for one round and then mafia will likely kill him. There's no confirmation that JOAT would be town-sided as well/ going to only be cleared for one round before mafia kills him. If DS is telling the truth, a Day cop has more potential than a JOAT in the long game and protecting roles are more likely to use their protect on a day cop rather than a JOAT.

For that reason -- for now:

I'm saying that a vote steal is more useful for Mafia, not JOAT in general.

This Spin/DS thing is beginning to feel like a Harry Potter/Voldemort relationship. It's like the prophecy: "Neither can live while the other survives." Not sure who is Harry in this situation but I'm kind of leaning DS because I'd like to think he wouldn't make such an outlandish claim D1 if it wasn't true.

Only other reason would be if he's Lyncher, but if he is then he "wins" today and is then essentially town vanilla?
