This is true but if she was town, why wouldn't she just claim that she was a town back-up in general instead of specifically for Herm's role?

If Jackie is a back up bomber, I doubt she’s mafia so it’s either anti hero or actually town. No way scum has to wait possibly for a role taken from town.

She heavily implied she was Hobgoblin was the point. So something is weird either way.

Because it sounds like she is back up just in case herm died? Maybe panda loved the role so much he wanted to make sure it had a chance to be in the game longer than if there was only one bomber.

I thought that Hobgoblin was Green Goblin's son, but that is apparently not the case. The Green Goblin does famously have a son that takes over the Goblin mantle, but he literally just becomes the next Green Goblin. This all makes sense just looking at it from a character flavor angle.
