First run in FTL, score: 1030 which was about an hour of play. Good game

Red Dead Redemption for PS3, on my widescreen in HD. LOVING it.....omg whata fool I was to play it on a small ass tube tv without HDMI cable on my first playthrough in 2010 or something....this game just got 10x better. simply riding through the hills, the scenery is amazing. pure eye candy. I play on "hardcore" and it's pretty challenging. Need to get a hang of that controller/stick situation...but I'm getting there. got me the deadly assassin outfit during a 6 hours session,. now I can get to the main story line and work my across the border. mexico in RDR is the greatest piece of map a game has ever seen. hands down! can't wait to get there again and rock my poncho, buying a mauser. si si

Very good I must say!

I noticed some minor bugs with my choices but that didnt trouble me at all really.

for some reason I had annoying framedrops early on while playing that Walking Dead quick time roleplay game, those Episodes. It was entertaining though, the way the game is playing, the quick time events, the dialogues and all. didn't get far...I might look into that some time again though, maybe do some tweaking then.

But for now, I'm all about the wild west again. PENG PENG. I'm going to start another 5-6 hours session tonight. Already got accquainted with Seth so the search for the minigun is about to start and I'm going to meet irish soon who'll ride on the float wih me to mexico. I could do it in 6 hours I guess. Caught me a stallion so I have enough horsepower really. And there's stage coaches or fast travel from campside I can use.

yeah there where some parts of the game that had frame drops, I dunno why that was! I have a pretty good PC so it made me wonder

yeah same here. I guess you have more of an elite rig than I do, being an IT student and all, undoubtly though the requirements for this game to run have been met and exceeded on my end. Maybe it's an issue with ATI cards or maybe it was because the crack didn't work too well (: Anyhow the drops were too severe to play in my opinion. I didn't bother much with scaling down in the options and settings, because WHY? lel, it's a scripted cartoon graphics game...well as I said, some day I might tweak a bit and give it another try

I had some problems playing it through steam even! I had to check the integrity of the files multiple times and run the game as an administrator. Bad steam bad!

Probably something to do with the shadows or AA

dude I totally hear ya. GRAPHICS MATTER, contrary to what many console fanboys are saying. I've played Red Dead Redemption on some old skool "left for dead" TV tube that stood in the hallway of a firends house. it had been pissed on and some rats started to chew on the cables already and shit. so I I've played without HDMI output, without widescreen, not even had a propper resolution, and the colors weren't set right either, the contrast was waaay too low. that's how I played RDR in 2011. it looked like a PS2 game and I couldn't see what was going on at times really.

2 years later, I'm playing RDR again on a 19 inch widescreen in 720p. it's almost like a whole 'nother game. congrats on your purchase, your future-self will thank you I'm sure
