If merc was mafia target, then did shadow target him also to get recruited as odd night sk? It's possible, but as primate said yesterday, I do not think that's what triggered merc' survival, based on thenwrite ups. The other options include inactive odd night SK (or someone who chose not to kill), farlig who was blocked by town (right?), or vic who was blocked by mafia (did I mix those 2 up?). So much for my spin sk suspicion.

My working theory is that Merc survived the Mafia kill attempt and the odd-night SK visited Merc, thus joining him in a PF instead of killing him. Whether that was Shadow or someone else, it explains what we know about the one survived attack and 2 possible kill actions.

my vote is based off the facts in front of me and the lack of flavour just doesn't sit well with me

It's also possible that the two people who claimed to have been roleblocked N1 were also potential killers.

At best, there is 1 SK out there who can only kill on odd-nights.

There are many more mafia out there, that can kill (plus other actions) every night.

It just seems too easy to be lynching shadow, although I agree that it does help answer some lingering questions.

Also if I was SK I could kill scum tonight

There is a counter argument to all of that and it's not bad. Since I know that won't be the case the reward is worth the risk

I'm down to save shadow today and shoot him tomorrow if there's still no note
