WWZ started off pretty meh but I really liked the whole ending in the medical facility. I feel like the movie would've been a lot better if it was R-rated though

And Gerry's kids were so fucking annoying. The movie got a million times better when they were off screen

Yeah completely agreed. As soon as I saw that it was PG-13 I sigh'd. The scenes where they kinda covered up the R rated material with PG-13 filmmaking were pretty good though. Like in the facility when he jams the crowbar into one zombies head and tries to yank it out in time to take out the other one. Not showing it all and reading Pitt's body language was still pretty good. Same with when he cut off the girls hand. Didn't work as well when the lead soldier shot himself outside of the airplane though
Also, Matthew Fox's best role to date?

Meh. Some segments were so horrible that it dragged the rest down. Some were good. D is for Dogfight stood wayyy out above the rest

It was hard to care for any character simply cause the character development was shit. So when someone died, I found it hard to care.

Children of the Damned (sequel to Village of the Damned), but I fell asleep during it and don't really remember it.

Last one I saw in the theater was Fast and Furious 6. I always like them way too much. The last one I watched was Safe House with Denzel and Ryan Reynolds. I was disappointed. I mean it was ok, kinda boring in spots.

yeah i saw wwz too, kinda dug it. actually it reminded me of CONTAGION in spots, in terms of showing the chaos that comes from such an outbreak and the realistic ways the government would deal with them. Of course this is a zombie fantasy action movie so it's much more ridiculous but the INTENT was the same.
i agree that the family kind of sunk the early bits, mainly because the movie didn't really seem to care about them. it just kind of ROCKETED through the boring family bits at the beginning, and there was never any time for them to develop beyond MOTIVATION for gerry. the little mexican boy also never seemed to care that his parents died
still tho there were some great scenes. i particularly liked all of the stuff in korea (save for the phone going off, that was dumb). it was very atmospheric in spots, the ash-filled prison with the CRAZY CIA operative being the standout. israel was cool too, loved the speech about the 10th man rule.
basically it was pretty good even if brad pitt wasn't. it actually felt like a really bad performance that didn't even have his CHARISMA propping him up. it would just be HOLY SHIT ZOMBIES *vacant stare*

Broken City
Pretty good. Russell Crowe is a great actor! Mark Wahlberg always seems to play the same guy?

oh men i really dug pacific rim. even tho it was RIFE with cliches it was perfectly paced and most of the actors were perfect, Perlman and Elba being my favorites. i also liked how LIVED IN the world felt, with things like Charlie Day being a huge Kaiju enthusiast. And the fights were SO GOOD, just epic in terms of scale. It would have been easy to make it incoherent like Transformers but you can generally tell what's going on in every scene.
