You know Helios is scum when he summarizes everything and then adds to the discussion by picking out one random sentence someone says and writes an italicized diatribe about how it's curious and he really, REALLY wants to know more about it.
"What did you mean by this, though? You are eating a biscuit? A BISCUIT???? Seems a little farfetched to me. Really gonna need to hear more about this biscuit situation." | Yes
With some form of over the top, “Wait, what the actual fuck?!” thrown in
| A biscuit? Are you FUCKING KIDDING ME?
Say it with me... inactive biscuit is still biscuit. And my key to victory. |

I enjoyed it.

Felt the girlfriend killing him was kind of obvious. Other than that though it was pretty good. I feel like with the 12 hour story line we'll have more action and less background on some of the minor characters. Not sure if I like that or not. |
| "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

Lawl. As long time 24 fans, I bet we all predicted a ton of the stuff that was about to happen. I could already tell all of the archetypes that the characters would fill and a lot of the specifics, like the girlfriend killing him at the end and being her daughter
It still worked fine though. I do hope they still find ways to shock us. Classic 24 used to be REALLY shocking at the time. Now it seems its all been done before. Hopefully I'm wrong. The most cringeworthy part was when Kate(?) taser'd the security guard and locked herself in the interrogation room before that. Then she gets reinstated. Come on (: . The show has always been full of that stuff though so I guess it just has to be forgiven
Keifer was great as always though, especially without even speaking half the time

An example of what I'm talking about...who else was murmuring "mole." whenever a new shady character was introduced? (: . You know they've gotta have one. That's part of the fun of it though tbh

So did it just pick up where it left off or is it all new? I was surprised when I saw the commercial for it.

It's all new. Every season is pretty separate from the last besides some character back story

You should watch it JJ! I'd actually be interested to see what a non-24 fan would think of it

Oh yeah and that was JOHN BOYEGA playing the drone pilot. He was the first casting announcement for the new Star Wars, I had no idea he was in this. He was doing a slightly awkward American accent

Not only did I say mole to that one CIA guy, but I knew that Kate would be fired, then do something Jack would do only to be proven right and then be re-instated again as her other colleague got pissed about it. As old as this stuff is, it's great to have 24 back and the storylines are rather compelling. Feel bad for the pilot of predator drone, Jack's gotta prove his innocence.
Also, lol at CIA agents being shot at guys ambushing them, then leave em to chase Jack.

None of the CIA agents scream mole. I am sure Kate's husband will come in play. Analyst seems fishy I guess. Black guy seems like the red herring. So I am going with boss boy. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

I immediately thought it could be Kate's husband's subordinate. The guy with the sketchy ass voice who showed up every so often. I've seen the actor play a bigger role in a few other things so I could see them making him more important
It'd be cool if the CIA boss was a mole. That's so illogical but (: . Maybe it's Kate and she actually worked with her husband on selling those secrets. I could see that

Na that'd be way too forced. I think she'll turn up being one of the good guys helping Jack once he convinces her.

I think she'll probably end up helping him too. But this show is known to force twists like that (:
