The Electoral College is important and should be left as is. If Panem had an EC, they wouldn't have most or any of their issues.

In the end, I really think this is the primary issue behind a true popular vote. The US is a collection of states (with significant rights) that have unionized to create a confederation of states with federal powers and abilities. The only way you'd ever get a popular vote to matter is to completely get rid of the individual states and have one singular union with more regional governing districts.

As long as states have the rights and powers to set their rules (for the most parts), there really isn't anything you can do.

Biden's speech was a 5/10 at best. You could tell the guy is almost 80 years old and it was going on 2 am when he spoke. He should have been asleep long before that. That said, he didn't threaten to overthrow the election, so that's a positive in my book.

Biden just broke the record for most votes cast for a candidate. Trump is actually pretty close to the record too. Pretty crazy!

My Facebook feed is filled with people calling foul and because Trump "had it in the bag" last night and now "magical votes" have put Biden ahead. lol.
